Chapter 2: Mixed Emotions

I couldnt sleep last night. I was thinking about pretty much everything that happened.And these three words made me cry every time I thought of it..."Your adopted".

I try to pretend nothing had happened but..they want to take me back.

I get ready and head downstairs.

Dad:Already up. Im surprised..

Aya:Yeah couldn't sleep....I'm gonna go for a walk.

Dad:Okay.But be back at 3:00.

Aya:Okay

I head to the park. Mom, dad, and I would always have picnics there.

It was my favorite place to get my head straight. To just have fun. To forget and enjoy the moment. But now I don't know how to do that. Things are so different now.

I arrive and it's empty. An abandoned park. There used to be a lot of kids here.

I sit on the swings slowly going back and forth.

(A few minutes later.... )

Aya:Its not fair...

?:What's not fair?

My eyes widen. I look around. I don't see anyone but I do feel a presence....

I look the time on my phone.

Aya:2:56....I should get going..

I get up and start walking back to my house.

?:Trouble awaits you, Aya Sakai...

I stop but this time, I saw him.

He has white hair and bright blue eyes like the sky. Dressed in a tuxedo....didn't see that coming.

Aya:Who are you and what do you want?

?:Woah. Calm down alright. I, am Saru. Your probably wondering why im here....no?

Aya:Of course.

Saru:I am an angel. I was sent to help you with your problem.

Aya:Angel huh? You on drugs...?

Saru:Pardon?

I laugh a little.

Aya:Never mind....so by problem you mean the stuff about me being adopted?

Saru:Yes Ms. Sakai.

Aya:Woah woah. Slow down.You don't need to be so formal. Call me Aya.

I take my hand out to shake hands.

I gave me a surprised look. But then he smiled.

Saru:Of course, Aya.

We shook hands headed home.

(few minutes later..... )

Aya: .......what did you mean by trouble awaits you?

Saru:I think you should find out for yourself....

We smiled at eachother and laugh.

She walked the rest in silence.

I remember that wish I made on my birthday. What was I thinking......the one who will alw-

My eyes widen and I look at Saru. He notices and we have eye contact.

Without thinking I hug him and start to cry.

Aya:Its you....your the one that with always be there....

Saru:Aya.... I will always be there for you.
