As she sets her eyes on him she knows the very first time that she loved him. His smile so bright and handsome, hair cut low, very professional, his skin two shades darker then hers, his hair black. He doesn't speak to her but she see's him from afar. Time passes and things happen... He is Arabic and needed to learn proper English so she begun to help him. He was very shy and didn't speak much to other people in English. His friend told her that he wouldn't try, but she liked the challenge of it. She wanted to show his friend wrong. As more time passes when she goes to teach him she begins to feel happiness right before going. She knew she could hold herself back from her liking of him. However one day she seen in his eyes something different when he glanced at her. She seen care, compassion, happiness when she came, his smile seemed different and his eyes brighter. He had started talking more with people in English and having pretty good conversations. That day she decided that she had to stop teaching him because at the time she was in a relationship and couldn't allow her self to be around someone who made her feel as he did... About a month and a half later she and her boyfriend broke up. However they hadn't been in a real relationship for about a month... Seems this relationship meant nothing but sex, no friendship. As she started realizing she didn't love him she pulled away and backed off from him. Then She started teaching the guy English again little by little. He is Muslim ( his name is Ahmed), she had been researching religions to know what others thought and why. So she started asking him questions to make him answer in English to her... She found out so much stuff that was very interesting to her and wanted to know more. She goes to the library and grabs some books on the Quran then begins to read, understanding more and more about him. She decides after much thought that this all makes sense to her then decides to tell him she wants to become Muslim. She gave her Shahada (the voiced declaration of becoming Muslim) to him and he was over joyed by this. In this time the care between them had become deeper and in the religion you don't date, you marry. He asked her to marry him... She asked him to look her in my eyes, because he never had before long enough for her to see his intentions. What she saw was deeper then anything she could ever imagine. She saw purity and clarity deeper then anything ever before known to herself. She never had seen this purity in a persons eyes before and heard it in the voice of another human being. She said yes after much thought on it all. Before she had given her Shahada to Ahmed she had had a really bad headache, so bad that she was crying and as she lay in the tub full of hot water she prays show me God, my Allah please show me. Help me, this pain is too much for me. I can't sleep because of it... Then slowly her pain started to go away and she began to feel a calmness in her that she had never felt before then she had decided she believed. She knew Allah was the one true god, the one worthy of praise, the only one worthy of such praise. Then she gave her Shahada to Ahmed. Her heart filled with joy and amazement she was Muslim then needed to take the next step. Little time passed and she started wearing a head cover... The head cover is an amazing thing because so many believe it to be a harsh oppression to women in the Muslim community. But on the contrary it is a liberation to the women, it makes her equal in the eyes of men and Allah. When she has covered her self and her precious things she is not seen as beauty or something someone wants to have sex with, she is seen by her knowledge, personality and equally by men. True liberation... So they have decided to get married, she has decided to become Muslim and now they are awaiting birth certificates for both of them. Ahmed and Kahdeeja when together can't stop laughing and smiling... They are not allowed to be physical but they do hug and hold hands.
