Chapter: 1 Friendship

Hey! Thanks for reading my story, this is my first book. I'm sorry if there are flaws in the story , but hey, no one is perfect right? lol anyways, I would appreciate all the feedbacks and please don't be rude, I'm still trying and practicing :) Shoutout to Ruiz for helping me edit chapter 1!! It's Sunday, I was awoken by the buzz of my phone "Hello?" I lazily said with a yawn "Hey! Are you still sleeping?" hissed Patrick, my best friend. He has light brown hair with a charming laugh, everyone adored him he'd hit the gym everyday and also he could be like a big brother to me even though he wasn't. "what? why?" I asked, confused "Damn Chloe! We'er ganna go to the beach party, remember?" I paused and slammed my phone on the bed and ran towards the bathroom.

I took a quick shower "how can I forget?" I asked myself with a groan. After I was done, I dried myself with a puffy towel, I took out the outfit I would wear for the party. A denim high rise shorts, a cute white crop top, a pair of flip flops and lastly my Ray Ban shades. I blow dried my hair and put it up in a messy bun. I applied some mascara and a cherry colored lipgloss, satisfied with my look, I was good to go.

I jogged down the stairs towards the kitchen where my mom was chopping some apples "Good morning mom!" I chirped, I gave her a peck on the cheek and grabbed an apple "Good morning honey, are you going to eat?" she asked "No mom, my friends are waiting outside." I said hurriedly making my way towards the door "Okay, be safe! I love you" I walked towards the door "I love you too!" I yelled back as I shut the front door.

I walked through the porch and waved at my friends. Patrick was driving and Sydney, his girlfriend, sat beside him waving as well. She was blond with pretty eyes, she could sing and could play the violin very well. They were a cute couple. David and Jake sat in the second row. The two brothers looked identical, almost like twins, they had blue eyes with dimpled cheeks, brown hair which were highlighted which was always on point

"Hey guys! I'm sorry I over slept" I apologized "It's okay" said Sydney as she giggled "About time, we'er already late" Pat said sarcastically and I rolled my eyes. The brothers scoot to make some space for me as we greeted each other.

There was an awkward silence half the trip which was unusual, so I broke in "Where is ed? I thought he was coming too" I said, as I took a bite from the apple "He said he had some work, so he's ganna come late" David shrugged. I sighed as I turned on the music.

"WE'ER HERE!" yelled Jake as he hopped out. I got out and stretched myself, I could hear the blasting music till the parking lot "Damn" I said in awe.

I ran towards the beach and as I reached the snow white crystal sand, I took off my flip flops and ran towards the sea. My friends fast walked behind me as they laughed, but i didn't care, I just loved the beach, the soothing wind, the waves that swoop on the sand and going back and forth and the peaceful sounds.

Sydney and I were sitting as the guys were having a volleyball match, David and Jake vs Pat. Pat asked us to come to his team but we were just lazy so he had to go against two of them. After awhile Sydney threw a sea shell towards Pat, he paused and stared at her with an evil grin in his face "No" said Sydney with wide eyes, as Pat walked closer towards her "Oh shit" she snapped and make a run for it.

Pat was chasing Sydney, until she tripped near us and Pat fell over her and I heard David yell "DOG PILE!" and in a flash we were all on top of them. As we were laughing, there was a familiar voice say "Having fun without me?" "Shit! No Eduardo!" we yelled as he swung his body on us "Ouch"

After we caught out breaths, we walked towards the dance floor where everyone was "hey, you all made it!" said a familiar voice, Sofia, she was a good friends of ours even though we didn't hang out as mush as we did amongst our selves. "Thanks for inviting us" Jake said with shining eyes. We all rolled our eyes as we knew Jake fell in love with anyone in a heartbeat. "No problem" Sofia smiled with a nod "I better get going. I'll see you all later. Enjoy!" with that she left.

"Where were you?" I ask Eduardo as he hand me a drink "I had to drive my sister to a birthday party, my mom got busy so I had to do it" he said casually taking a sip from his cup "I was planning in whooping you if u hadn't shown up" I said sarcastically, with that we laughed like maniacs. Eduardo had dark hair, with a well defined face, a cheerful smile which cheered up anyone and a weirdly attractive laugh, also it was hard to stay mad at him for too long. Ugh.

"Hey guys! Where were you?" Pat said as he and our friends were walking towards us. I shrugged, "yup" said Ed. As we were talking, I could feel someone was staring at us, I looked up and saw it was Matt. Everyone knew Matt had a crush on me since middle school and now we were juniors, he had green eyes, perfect brown hair which you could tell was run through a million time, slightly tanned and a toned body.

We use to be close until I knew that he liked me and things got pretty awkward and slowly we stopped talking to each other. After that we rarely talked, which was mostly about school work, that is, if we were in a group project together.

"Right Chloe?" Sydney said, which snapped me out of my little dream world "W-What? Sorry" I said and felt myself heating up, dang it "I said, we should have a sleepover this weekend" she repeated with an amused face "Yeah sure, sounds good" I said hiding my cheeks.

"Aye yo, look whose checking you out as expected" said David with a nod towards Matt, we all faced towards him to look and we saw him flushing in red as he looked down to his drink "Aw dear Matty is blushing" chuckled Pat as he gave me a wink "Shut up!" I snapped "Woah okay okay there" said Pat raising both his hands in the air.

"You should give him a chance" shrugged Ed "For real" added Jake "He looks like a nice guy!" Sydney jumped in. There was a silence as they stared at me with a JUST-GO look "Ugh Okay God!" I yelled, they gave me a satisfied look as I stomped towards him.

"Hey there" I said awkwardly, great I look like some weirdo, Matt looked at me and looked down again and them he looked back at me again with wide eyes like he was looking at some ghost and stood up right away "Chloe! Uh h-hi" he greeted back like I was going to kill him, don't mind me I imagine too much *smirks*.

"Can I? I said with a chuckle as I pulled the chair beside him "Sure!" he said with a confused face and I understand why, and then a slight smirk passed through his face as we sat. "So, how's life?" I asked, PS: I suck at starting conversations. "It's good, how about yours?" he asked looking down at his hands "It's alright, uh so I was thinking if you wanna hang out? W-With me?" I said, ending in a whisper hoping he didn't hear and I'd make a run for it but NO "Are you serious?" he asked with disbelief looking straight into my eyes to see if I was joking "Yeah? Of course I'm serious" I said casually, trying to control my blush, well didn't work at all "Yeah sure" he said with a wide ass smile which was adorable.

Wait.. Did i just say adorable? Oh god no no no Chloe!

"Cool" I said with a smirk and I could literary feel myself heating up pretty quickly.
