"Get up sleepy head " I heard someone say and the. I felt someone jumping on my bed it was Mandy

"How did you get in here did you use your magic blue dust?" I asked and she looked surprised

"No ding dong ur mom let me in " she said smiling at me and it was just then that I released how pretty she was she had black hair and she was naturally beautiful she didn't need makeup and she had a cute little nose ring

"Oh " I said getting out of my bed and then I realized that I only had on my boxers nothing else I was a little scared for her to see me like that

"Ur cute when ur scared " she said laughing a little

"Umm thanks " I said walking to my dresser to grab some joggers I pulled them on and sat back down on my bed

"What do you want to know " she asked and obviously my head was filled with questions but my eyes were distracted by her beautiful body she had on grey skinny jeans and a white shirt and white converse she had perfectly straight hair she really was beautiful

"I can read your mind you know " she said blushing

"What you can " I said oh my god she just freaking heard all of that

"Yes I can and yes i did hear all of that " she said smiling at the ground

"Can all mermaids read minds " I asked knowing that I didn't even have to ask out loud

"No every mermaid has a different power " she said looking into my eyes she had beautiful blue eyes they were almost turquoise

"That's my real name you know?" She said looking at the ground again

"What's your real name turquoise?" I asked

"Yes I just use Mandy as a cover up name " she said still looking at the ground

"Don't you know that you're beautiful " I asked

"What I am so not beautiful " she said looking at me with confusion

"Yes you are " I said she just smiled

"Thank you " she said smiling at me not the floor  

"You're welcome" I said  I wondered where her parents lived because that tree house didn't look big enough for a family

"There dead " she said as a tear slipped out of her gorgeous eye

"Hey don't cry it's okay " I said grabbing her and pulling her to me

" let's talk about something less depressing " she said wiping a tear from her cheek

"Okay like what " I said loop at her still red eyes

"like our math teacher being a ware wolf " she said and my mouth feel open

"What ?" I said with a dumbfounded look on my face

"Yeah he is " she said laughing a little

"Wow did he tell you that ?" I asked

"What no he is a humdi " she said

"What does that mean " I asked

"Well the first thing you have to understand is some times people are evil " she said

"And humdi are as evil as it gets they believe in death to the mortal and darkness " she said

"Turquoise are you telling me that my math teacher wants to murder me " I said

"Yes the king is also one of the humdi " she said   I bet the mermaids that tried to eat me were too

"No they weren't they were just hungry " she said laughing and it dawned on me that she could just eat me at any moment

"Hahahah no I don't eat people expect on the full moon " she laughed out

"Yo... Y  you mean you have eaten someone before " I said now I was scared

"Oh for the love of God you actually believe I would do that " she said she actually looked hurt

"Well I didn't know " I said trying to make it better

"I know no I just eat animals that come near the water" she said and I was totally okay with that in fact I was relieved that she did that

"Let's go to the mall I need new shoes " she said I agreed so I walked to my closet and put on a grey v-neck t-shirt and red skinny jeans the. I put on my black converse and a snap back hat and we walked down stairs and I walked into the kitchen to get my wallet when I saw my mom she gave me a kiss on my head and I hugged her

"Is this your girlfriend " my mom asked and I started to say that we were just friends when Mandy/turquoise butted in with a

"Yes " I can't believe that she said yes why would she do that

"Awww well you guys have fun " my mom said as we walked out the door

"Why did you say that " I asked turquoise as we walked to her white slug bug  and I got in the drivers seat and she got it the passengers seat

"Because she was thinking that she hopes that I was your girlfriend so you would get out and have fun instead of playing video games all day long " she said chuckling at me

"Oh well in that case I guess I forgive you " I said smiling that I may have actually made a real friend I mean she was a mermaid but she was my friend

"Yes I am " she said and smiled at me

We got to the mall and the first place we went to was pay less so she could get some new shoes I thought it was a little ironic that she kneaded new shoes because she was a mermaid but oh well  she finally decided on some black flip flops and blue sneakers she was ready to pay but I paid for her I'm not really sure why I did it but why ever I did it it made her happy so it was worth it  u can't believe I am saying it but I think that I have a crush on my best friend
