Chapter 2

I'm running breathing hard I don't know what I'm running from. "LYNK WERE ARE YOU" someone yells i fall into a lake blackness. "Agh!" I wake up sweaty as my alarm goes off. "Ugh why 6am stupid school." My mom knocks on my door. "Get up Lynk time for school." "I get dressed put my favorite wolf shirt and some bootcut jeans and I walk down my hallway. My community is very small there are about 20 small families in it all with kids there are to schools. 5-13 yr and 14-18yr I'm the only 14 year old at my school I met up with Tris and all them at lunch everyday. But before that it's Blah blah hunt this hunt that yadda yadda. Its boring. I get to my lunch period class I think. Lunch Lunch. Bell rings "Freedom" every one yells. I got to a table and met up with Tris, Kirta and Aramiss. We sit and eat in silence. "So any body up for the weekend"I say "Yeah" they all say tiredly. The long school week ands and just to more days until my birthday. We go hang out in the cave but somethings not right Aramiss and Kirta are in there wolf form when me and Tris arrive. "Why you guys in wolf form?" I ask confused. All we get are growls in return. I back away and run towards the wood near our community. I shoot my mom a text saying "I'm staying in the woods until my birthday" She reply with ok come home soon." With a thumbs up emoji. I go to were I stash a tent and some other camping supplies and camp out. "Great now Kirta and Aramiss are angry at me" But why were the looking at me? Hmmm.1 1/2 days pass and I'm putting my stuff back in the stash and Aramiss , Kirta and Tris walk up to me "Hey guys" I say cautious. "Hey bro your party's in an hour you know that right?" "Oops must have forgotten" "let's go" Arramiss urges me to get a move on. Then I feel a stabbing pain in my neck then I feel bones shifting. My friends look at the dart I feel in my neck. "GO GET THE PACK DOCTER QUICKLY NOW KIRTA" She nods. Kirta phases into her wolf form and so does Aramiss he's goes in for a kill. There's screaming and blood my vision blurs as Tris is next to me talking to me saying "You'll be okay fight it" I fight a split second later three wolves arrive they way Kirta went. I know it's Kirta The pack docter and my mom. The pack docter sits next to me and phases back to human. "Fight it Lynk" "I can't it's no use" "Aghhhhhhhhh!" "He may not survive all we can do is watch and put that down Aramiss" he drops the body. I think "It hurts no no this can't be why me not yet know" then I realize this may be my dream I had a few nights ago. I feel my face growing fur sprouting a tail growing and my body morphing. Before there's enough time to say "Why me" I am a golden wolf I look at the pack Doctor who says" You survived ok stay calm ok Lynk" before she can say lets go I bolt off in to the woods a few seconds later I'm 1/4 mile away from the scene still running I hear. "LYNK WERE ARE YOU" about an hour of hunting me down they gave up for the night. I go to my house the door is unlocked and my mom is crying I paw at the door and whimper. She looks up and come to the door and opens it. Her eyes widen as she knelt down and gave me a big hug. I yip in response but take it in. We go inside and she tells me. "Your very lucky to be alive right now your a one of a kind wolf youngest in our history there examining the body of the shooter. To see who did this to you look sleep down here tonight and everything will be normal tomorrow." I whimper in response and howl to the moon.
