laughed together
stayed together
found a way to stay together.
i never wanted to use past tense just to describe our friendship
but i can't use present tense when you aren't even present anymore.
since
you've found new friends,
i've found new pills.
you're laughing with new friends,
i'm laughing with tear stains.
can you please tell me
why didn't we find a better way to stay together?
