I looked over to where the voice came from.

It was a girl with black curly hair with blonde tips. She was like lightskin with some color.

She smiling hard at Roc.

Was this bitch foreal? I needed him as my partner because I didn't really know anyone in this class.

"Alright, Destiny,"he said, smirking.

She came and sat on the other side of him, staring and smiling at him the whole way.

"Wanna be partners?"a voice said on the other side of me.

I turn around.  "Sure."I replied to Damarion.

Ms.Cooper passed out the papers and we began working. Every few minutes or so, I glanced over at Roc and that lil girl. She was all over; hand on his thigh, super close.

I couldn't lie, I was feeling a little jealous.  I mean im feeling the boy. But whatever, he's not mine.

After class, I walked out, not waiting on Roc. Besides he was too caught up talking to Destiny.

I went to the lunchroom and headed to the table Desiree, Jacob, and Ray were sitting at.

"Where's your boyfriend? "Desiree said as soon as I sat down.

"Who? "I said, playing dumb.

"Girl, stop playing."

"I'm single as a pringle and ready to mingle."I said, lounging back in my chair, pulling out my phone.

Just then Roc was heading over with guess who.

"Hey, y'all don't mind if Destiny sit with us?"Roc said.

"Go ahead,"Ray said.

Desiree looked at me puzzled.

They sat across from me.

Destiny looked up at me. "Oh your that new girl?" She said with the fakest attitude.

"Yea,"I said, blandly.

Roc looked up at me.

"She's not really cute, "Destiny tried to whisper to Roc.

"Im sorry , what was that?"I said.

"Oh nothing, "she said, putting on that fake smile again.

"Honey, I don't know you and you don't know me.  So don't try to talk shit while I'm sitting right here. Don't speak on me ever or these hands will be connected with your eye. Now if you would excuse, I have to go get my lunch."I said, getting up.

I looked at everyone's reaction as I left. Desiree was smiling hard, Roc looked a little mad, Ray was laughing his ass off, and Destiny was fuming. Like I cared.

I walked to the Subway they had located in the school and ordered a cold cut on honey oat bread.

On the way back to the cafeteria, I was stopped by Damarion.

"So partner, can I have your number so we can work on this project?" He asked.

"Sure," I take his phone out his hand and put my number in.

"Alright, imma text you later. "He said.

"Coo,"I say, walking off.

When I walk back to our table, Destiny is missing and Craig has joined.
