"Connor, wake up!" Connor's mother, Cheryl, yelled from the downstairs kitchen.

"I'm up! I'm up," he yelled back to her. He got up from his bed, taking a blanket off the bed and putting it around his shoulders.

He pulled on a yellow sweatshirt with a white daisy in the middle, and some tan joggers. He slowly walked out the door into by Abbie, his adoptive sisters, door.

"Abbie? Uh, mom probably wants you get up now," He said, Abbie mumbled in response and Connor decided it'd be okay to go in.

"Abbie, c'mon, get up." Connor said, Abbie rolled over and look at him with sleepy eyes.

"I don't want to." Abbie said, she rolled back over on her left side and closed her eyes. Connor wasn't taking 'I don't want to' for an
answer, so he sat on her bed.

"Get up, mom is making us food." Connor said, pushing her a little bit, in which she only grunted in reply. "Abbie, please get up. You can't stay in this bed forever."

"Yes I can!" She exclaimed, "I'll die in this bed, and get buried in it! So, yes, I can stay in here forever."

"Well, mom isn't going to let you get that. So get your ass up." Connor said, he pushed her again and she sat up in her bed.

"I hate you so much," She said, getting out of her bed and heading out the hall and into the bathroom.

"I hate you too!" He yelled back, laughing to himself a little bit. He heard Abbie mumble something back to him.

Connor ran downstairs, singing Beyoncé's halo. His little brother, Brandon, who was three-year old, smiled at him, giving him a cute, little wave.

"Morning, Brandon!" He smiled, and kissed the top of his little brothers forehead. "When I get home, we can finger paint!"

"Otay!" Brandon replied happily, Cheryl smiled at the little boy she loved so much, and her oldest child she loved a little bit more.

Cheryl smiled at her husband, Peter, who had been paralyzed from the neck down. He was in a car crash soon after they had Brandon, being hit by a drunk driver, leaving him permanently paralyzed. Peter didn't mind being paralyzed, he missed hugging his kids and being able to play with his children, but he soon got used to it, and so did the children.

"Hi, honey," he said, smiling a little, his red lips having jam on them from Cheryl feeding him.

"The games on tonight, dad, going to watch it? I'll watch it with you, if you'd like." Connor said, he hated football, but his dad likes it and it was one of the only things his dad could do with him.

"Yeah, I'll watch it with you." Peter said, sipping coffee from a straw.

"Abbie? Come down! We're leaving in ten minutes." Dustin called from downstairs, Abbie screamed something in reply, making Cheryl yell at her to not scream at her family.

"Sorry, Cheryl!" Abbie yelled more calm voice, getting an 'okay' from Cheryl.

"Where's Olivia?" Nicola asked, referring to their adopted sister from Africa. "Is she still sleeping?"

"Probably," Cheryl laughed, "You know her, she could sleep for days!"

"I could sleep for days," Abbie laughed, walking downstairs with Olivia behind her. "But you wouldn't let me do that, would you?"

"Probably not, unless you were sick. That's different," Cheryl smiled. Abbie grabbed a plate from the counter and put it on the table. Cheryl gave her pancakes with maple syrup.

"I was joking, mate," She smiled, "But I do want toast with Nutella next time!"

They were the picture-perfect family, never a dual monument. No one had ever gone though terrible mental or physical health, no one had died in their family, everyone was sweet as can be. They were like a family from the movies, always smiling, always laughing. It was like nothing could ever go wrong.

"Catch ya later, family." Nicola said, walking out the door and waving her hand.

"Bye, sweetie! Love you," Cheryl smiled, grabbing Olivia's purple backpack with her name on it.

"Bye, honey!" Her dad called, smiling.
