I was walking along the pavement to wherever it took me. Fortunately, it had stopped raining. I was dripping wet, my red hair turning black from the water...Why was I born? I questioned myself, for the millionth time today. Nobody would care if I died. Maybe because I was a nobody. I was a freak. A stupid freak, with strange eyes..It wasn't my fault I was born with them. I would do anything to change them. Then maybe the hate would stop. My parents would treat my like their child. Maybe, people would like me.. Yeah. Right. I said to myself, snapping out of my daydream. Like that would happen. No one would like me. I looked up to where I was walking to. I had never been to this part of town before. I scanned the area, taking in every detail. It seemed like a rough part of town. I could see two gangs from where I was standing! I put my hood up, and lowered my head, slowly walking past them, trying not to draw attention or get in trouble. Just my luck..That didn't happen. I froze, hearing a girl's voice. "What are you doing here?" She demanded. I mumbled some sounds before stuttering my answer. "I'm just walking around." I said, hoping she would let me go. "Look at me." She replied. Shit. She wanted me to look at her. What was I going to do? I was bound to get beaten up...Why did I have to be me? "Look at me!" She repeated. This time firmer. I quickly looked up at her, trying to cover my face with my hair. She looked directly into my eyes with what seemed like astonishment or curiosity. I had noticed she was wearing a grey tracksuit with a black cap, and a skateboard. She was good looking and very pretty...Wait, what was I thinking? I know what love is. It hurts, and I don't even want to let myself think about those thoughts again. But I couldn't help it. She was perfect. Her blonde and black long hair, her perfect cheek bones, and her grey eyes. She was beauty. "Your eyes." She said, "Why are they red?" I was dreading that question. "I was born with them like that. I'm a freak. I know." She simply stared at me for another few minutes, before backing away, and walking back to her gang. Well that couldn't have gone worse. I though, carrying on with walking. Well, of course it would have gone bad. The only good things that happen to me are in my dreams. I heard a clap of thunder, and looked at the sky as rain poured down. I sighed, and then quickly started running for the hell I called home.
