-Hyejin's pov-

I woke up this morning not feeling well. I lain in bed while surfing through my phone. The internet shut off and so did the electricity. I sighed out loud then turned off my phone and stared at the ceiling.

"I seriously need a life." I said out loud.

A chuckle from the door made me jump. I quickly lifted myself up to see if Taehyung was there. Sadly it wasn't him. It was....Seungcheol?

He walked over to my bed and sat himself down. "Where's Taehyung?" I asked eagerly. "Where do you think he is?" He answered.

I lost my breath. I stared at Seungcheol who was staring back at me. "You don't.." "Calm down Hyejin, he'll be back." He bursted out laughing.

A wash of relief hit me as I hit him. "You piece of shit!" I hit him as tears still fell. He pulled me into a hug as I cried in his chest. "Yah. These better be tears of joy." I heard him say as he played with my hair.

I only nodded as the thought of Taehyung was still alive. After I was done I pulled away. "How come he didn't come back?" I realized.

"He's injured, but he'll be okay after awhile." He assured me.

"Do you know exactly how long?" I asked.

He nodded. I gave him a raised eyebrow. "Oh you want me to tell you?" He half smiled. I smiled back, "Yeah kinda." "I can't tell you." He quickly said.

"Why not!!!" I whined. He pinched my cheek and brought his face close to mine. "Because he told me not to." He smiled then pinched me harder. "Yah!" I pushed his hand away. He laughed then I pushed him off the bed.

"You meanie. Is that all you wanted to tell me too?" I asked.

"Yeah pretty much. I'll be leaving now." He got up and headed for the door.

I watched him leave without looking back. I quickly ran to the bathroom and threw up. I haven't eaten anything so only spit came out. I soon found myself being choked by something. It turned me around and I saw a vision Hanbin smiling.

"Seun-Seungcheol..." I tried calling. I felt the grip tighten and my breathing loosen. "Seun-Seungcheol!" I manage to yell.

Everything turned black but I manage to open my eyes for a little. I saw Seungcheol's fangs and red eyes; leaning over a body. My vision blurred and soon I blacked out.

-Seungcheol's pov-

I heard a faint call from upstairs. My eyes widen as I heard her scream. I quickly ran upstairs to see a black shadow leaning over Hyejin. I grabbed it but it disappeared. I soon felt something grab me by my hair. It slammed my head down on the sink, but I manage to loosen its grip. I grabbed the side of its chin and shoulder. I could hear the rip of the skin as I pulled its head from its shoulders. The screaming stopped as it started to vanished.

"You'll pay! Watch your back Seventeen!" It said faintly.

"Who are you!" I yelled.

"Your enemy! I was sent here!" The voice was lowering.

"By who? By who!" I shouted back.

"In-" it died. It was completely gone.

"God damn it! I'll worry about that later." I said out loud as I picked up Hyejin and rushed to the hospital. The nurses took her in as I waited in the waiting room.

I sighed out loud and leaned my head against the wall. My phone buzzed which caused me to jump. I looked at the caller and saw it was Taehyung.

"Yah is something wrong?" Was his first words.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Does it involve Hyejin?" He sounded worried.

"Yes." I said again.

"Well..?" He asked.

"It'll stress you though." I whined.

"I told you to check up on her." His voice was stern.

"Which I did." I replied.

"So why'd she get hurt!" He broke.

"Because something attacked her!" I yelled back.

Before he could say anything the nurse came out. "I'll call you back." I hung up.

"Are you her boyfriend?" She asked.

"Ani, I'm her friend." I assured her.

"Oh okay. She'll be okay. We just put some air in her so she could catch her breath again. You can visit her, but she'll be sleeping." She smiled then walked away.

I quietly walked into the room. I walked towards her dead-like body. "Hyejin I'm sorry I couldn't protect you soon enough. You're in danger now...and its because you fell in love with the most troublemaker vampire on earth." I sighed.

"Well it wasn't my fault." Her voice made me jump again.

"Oh you're awake? Ha..should I call the nurse?" I asked nervously.

She shook her head.

I'm in trouble.

"Can you tell me why I'm in danger?" She asked.

"Pretend like I didn't say anything." I begged.

"Ani. Tell me." Her voice was stern too.

"Because everybody wants something from us, and by 'us' I mean Taehyung." I sighed finally letting her know.

"What do they want?" She asked.

"Hyejin? Do you know what you're capable of?" I asked finally realizing she doesn't know who she is.

"No. Should I?" She questioned.

"Do you really want to know?" I asked. She nodded. "They want you."

Her eyes widen as she pointed to herself. "Me? Waeyo?" She asked. "Just get some sleep Hyejin. You don't have to worry anymore. Taehyung sent me here to keep you safe, but I already failed." I sighed.

"Who did I get attacked by?" She asked again.

"A messenger." I replied. "Somebody has come and that was their warning."

"Seungcheol, could you do me a favor?" She asked.

I nodded, "Always Hyejin."

"Please keep me safe. Or until Taehyung comes back." The look in her eyes made me feel guilty.

"Look I know I'm not as great as Taehyung...but I will do my best." I smiled while holding her hand.
