(Previous Chapter: "My grandfather." I said, ignoring her.

Everyone looked at me, oddly. "Your grandfather? Did you have a dream?" Matthew asked. Was it a dream? I thought about it, oddly. It couldn't have been, but I wasn't sure. I didn't remember falling asleep.

I felt a paper behind my back and pulled it from underneath me.

"1791 Revel Drive." It was an address. I sighed, I didn't know if I was happy or upset, but I knew I was anxious and eager.

"No, maybe it wasn't." I said.)

Chapter 9: Answers

"If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers."  - Thomas Pynchon, Gravity's Rainbow

"What does it say?" Matthew asked, looking over my shoulder reading it himself anyway. I handed him the note and he read it out loud for Ava and Hope to hear. "Aidan, if you want answers. Meet me @ 1791 Revel Drive. Sighed, Tyrone." Matthew read. He looked at me. "1791 Revel Drive? Are you going? And are you going alone?" He asked. I shrugged. I was definitely going, I needed to know so much. Should I go alone? He didn't ask me to. What was the harm in bringing them along? He may already know about them, anyway.

"I don't think you should go alone, Aidan... It could be dangerous, and you're already hurt." Hope said. I creased my forehead. "Dangerous? It's my grandfather." I said.

"So he says... I thought you didn't have any connections with your family. Hoe did he know you were at the hospital? How do you know he's actually related to you?" Matthew asked. I sighed. "He knew about the numbers, he knew things about my parents... listen, whether he's my grandfather or not, I need answers desperately." I said.

"That's understandable, Dead Heart. But you need to be careful." Ava said. Matthew nodded in agreement, and Hope seemed disturbed by what she said. Maybe because she kept referring to me by "Dead Heart", but such a trivial thing couldn't bother me now. I was anxious, and I needed information now.

"Then, come with me." I told them. Matthew let out a sigh of relief. "I thought you wouldn't allow us to." He said. I shrugged, "You would've followed me anyway." I pointed out. Matthew smiled, "No, I wouldn't have... there's no need to when I have eyes everywhere." He said, with a small chuckle.

I eyed him suspiciously. "Are you stalking me, Matthew?" I asked. "Oh-ho? That's a very bold accusation... I prefer the term, 'studying under close watch at all moments of time.'" He said. I facepalmed and sat up. "That's not creepy at all." I said, sarcastically and struggled out of bed. Hope and Ava helped me to my feet.

"Let's get out of here." I said.

We left the hospital and walked back to my house. The house was quiet, and my foster mother lie passed out on the couch. I studied her curiously as she slept. If Tyrone wasn't lying, she was my aunt... what reason did he have to lie to me?

"What's the matter, Aidan?" Hope asked, staring at me oddly as I watched her sleep. I shook my head without saying anything and went to my room. Everyone else followed me and gathered comfortably around on my bed. I changed my shirt and sat down.
