~TIME SKIP A FEW DAYS LATER~
•~Third Person POV~•
"Y/N!!! HURRY UP BEFORE I DOUBLE YOUR PUNISHMENT!" Y/N's mother yelled, she was receiving a big punishment for running away from home for a few days.
Y/N hoped that she could some how escape the punishment.
You hurried out of the house and back to the markets to buy her mother what she desired.
On your way there, you saw three children, around the same age as you, sitting down and having fun, laughing and talking. You stopped and stared at them for a moment before there was a loud noise and the Earth shook.
Everyone was making a huge commotion, you ran over to where people were looking up at the wall. You looked up and to your disbelief you saw a figure emerge behind the wall. How is this even possible?
You looked around at everyone, looked at their faces full of worry and distress. You looked back up at the wall. Before you knew what hit you, a big gust of wind pushed everyone backwards, rocks went flying in all different directions.
Someone pushed you over and you fell, people trampled over you,desperate to escape the Titans that were racing towards the town.
"Get up!" A voice yelled, dragging you away, the voice belonged to a boy, the same age as you. The girl next to him gave you a type of death glare, but you just shrugged it off, focusing on running.
"I-I'm Eren," the boy said, huffing and puffing,
"Y-Y/N." You replied,
"I need to get back to my house to see if my mum is okay, and then we can hurry up and get out of this place!" He said, dodging bodies, squashed by rocks.
After a moment of thought, you shook free of his grasp, and ran in the opposite direction, towards your house. You didn't look back, determined to say final words to your mother.
"W-What??!" Eren shouted, looking at you and then he kept on running.
You soon approached your house only to find it completely demolished.
"Mum?!" You shouted, your voice slightly breaking. You heard a movement somewhere under the debris. "Mum." You confirmed, looking at her dark orbs.
"Y-Y/N, sweetheart, help me!" She yelled, struggling under the weight of wood.
"No."
"After all I did for you!! This is how you repay me?!"
"Go die in hell!" You yelled, the ground beginning to shake, you looked up to find a Titan staring down at you. You spat on your mothers face, running away, trying to get as far away as possible.
"Y/N!!" She shouted, "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE BEFORE I KIL-" it went silent, the only thing that could be heard was bones cracking inside the Titans jaw.
You didn't look back, you just ran as fast as you could. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing a body lying on the ground or being swallowed whole.. This was the world you lived in.
You kept on running until you saw people near the boats, crying, praying, screaming, the usual thing people do when they're about to die. You squished through the crowd, getting to the front.
"Sorry miss, please wait for the next one." The officer said, sticking his arms out to barricade you and others from jumping or sneaking on the boat.
You saw the boy called Eren and that girl on the boat, they looked sad and angry. Atleast they are going to be safe.
The next boat arrived and you quickly got on, soon the people filed onto the boat and you were squashed between a woman and her crying baby and another child who you didn't know.
"What are those cuts from?" The boy asked, pointing to the ones on your leg that you received from your mother,
"Just fell," you said, looking up at the sky.
"Here," he gave you half a loaf of bread which you gladly accepted, thanking him you placed it in your pocket to eat later.
|TIME SKIP|
You sighed, getting off the boat and gathering with the other people from the Shiganshina district and other affected areas. Wall Maria has been breached, everyone was now crowded in wall rose.
The food was terrible, the officers weren't friendly and you had no one to talk to or anything.
You truly felt lonely.
Despite all the chaos, kids still managed to smile and have fun.
You went up to get your daily ration when an adult pointed a finger at you,
"Y-YOU!" He shouted, you didn't care, probably another drunk.
"Y-YOU ALREADY HAD YOU RATION!!" He shouted, making a big deal out of it.
"I didn't." You replied, taking another step forward in the line, showing an emotionless face.
"You did you LIAR!"
"What's all the commotion about?" A garrison officer walked up to you. "Did you already have your food for the day?" The man asked, getting too close to your face for your liking.
"No." You replied once again, getting annoyed.
"C-Check her pockets!!!" A citizen chimed in, the garrison member checked your pockets, pulling out half a loaf of bread. You mentally face palmed.
"I can explain,"
"Stealing is one thing, but lying is another!" The garrison member raised his hand and slapped you across the face, you fell to the ground.
I guess I can't escape abuse..
You thought to yourself.
You slowly stood up only to be pushed down by the man who approached you, if looks could kill, he would be dead. He began to kick you in your ribs,
Why is it always my ribs?!
you just lay there, not giving a crap. After the crowd died down you got up and sat in a corner, throwing a rock.
"Hey, we met earlier, um, are you okay?" The boy asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
