***ELEMENTARY SCHOOL***

"EWW ISN'T THAT GRACE?"

"GROSS"

"NASTY"

"YOU HAVE GRACE COOTIES"

but there was that one person that said

"LEAVE HER ALONE"

and so they did

***MIDDLE SCHOOL***

"BRACE FACE"

"FOUR EYED FREAK

"DIE ALREADY"

"GO AWAY"

still that one person that said

"GET A LIFE AND LEAVE HER ALONE"

that one person who stood by me and stood up for me. Only and just shayne.

Shayne has been my best friend for as long as I can remember and we haven't talked all summer long. Today was the last the of summer and I wasn't ready for school. Ofcourse the first thing I did was text shayne

TO: Shayne

Hey, omg last day of summer wanna meet up?

5 seconds later I receive a text back

FROM: Shayne

Yes! Meet me at Starbucks in 15?

TO: Shayne

Ya, meet you there (:

I put my phone up and got dressed. It didnt take long to get ready considering the fact that I am not the type of girl who takes an hour to dress up to go eat somewhere.

I got up and brushed my teeth. Put on a black Capri and sweat shirt that said yolo. I kept my hair up in a pony tail and put on my round glasses. No! No braces any more whoo!

I ran downstairs and told my mom I was going to be out , she didnt question me. WAIT WHAT? No, not right. But I'm also not going to ask any questions so she doesn't change her mind.

I walked to Starbucks and entered. The smell of cofee and cookies spread a over the room, there I spotted Shayne sitting by the window. I went over to him and hugged him from behind.

"AHH Shayne I missed you" I hugged him so tight

"Heyy Gracie" he picked me up by my waist and say me down. The couple over next to us looked over by us and smiled the. Said "you guys are so cute together" we looked t each other and laughed then Shayne said "we're not dating , she'a just my best friend" the. They turned back. So did we.

"So....how was summer...?" Shayne started a convo

"Are you kidding me? It was awesome, but I missed you. We haven't spoke. Since summer started. We must catch up ." I babbled on about

"I won't have to be home till 7:00pm for dinner, wanna hang out at the mall?" He said

"Yes! Victoria secret?'' I joked. He looked at me confused.

"I'm just kidding shayne" I playfully slapped him in his arms.

We finished our little Starbucks meeting and we left for the mall.

"You drive now?" I asked smiling at amazement. He looked at me and nodded proudly.
