a large door marks the entrance to insanely popular aquarium. here it's said they have the best and most well trained animals, Lilia has been dying to go for months. finally one morning her parents surprised her with a ticket to go and observe all the amazing creatures. to say she was excited was an understatement.

with one final big breathe she walked up the large concrete steps and pushed open the large towering doors. the first thing she noticed was the smell. she knew it was going to smell like fish, but oh was it horrid. her face filled with disgust and she began to walk in any random direction, looking for an exhibit to observe. walking she could hear people whispering and pointing at her, a feeling of unease settled as she looked for a route to escape their states and fill herself with knowledge and excitement about the sea-life she had surrounding her. of course she knew she was going to get stared, everyone here was with a group while she had been forced into coming by herself. it's not like anyone else would have came with her anyway, her parents were always busy, which is the reason she was so shocked from their sudden gift of kindess, and she had no other friends unless her cat and the delivery man counted.

path after path she trailed, but not one animal seemed interesting enough to hold her attention. disappointment filled her as she realized that the one trip she had been looking forward to for so long had turned out to be an absolute mess. she was about to lose hope and go home when the realization that she had stopped following the aquarium maps while lost in her thoughts had aided her in becoming completely lost. infront of her held large white wall, clearly just repainted. so that means that others have been over here recently at least. as she studied the wall her head drifted down to the right, more towards the ground. sitting right there infront of her eyes was a door. she inched closer, hesitation clear in her movements. did she really want to go into this room? it seemed cut off from the rest off the aquarium, so was it forbidden to go into? if so, they why could you go in?

curiosity got the best of likia as her hands wrapped around the doorknob and she slowly and carefully pushed the door open.

the old cieling lights flickered as she set foot into the room. lilias eyes were immediately drawn to the giant tank sitting in the back. in an instant she appeared on its right. looking at it closely she realized the dirt and rust, which must have meant no others have see this animal, that she still hadn't looked at yet.

a wave of excitement hit her and butterflies filled her stomach. for some reason she knew that coming back here was a good idea, she could feel it. she crouched down to get eye level with the tank. her hands grasped each side, to help her hold her balance. running her hands along the sides until she was completely steady she stared blankly into the tank. firstly, seeing nothing she began to wonder if this whole trip was a lose. she almost got up and walked away but she from the corner of her eyes she saw a movement. bringing her head as close as she could to the tank, Lilia studied hard to find what had moved. after a few passing seconds it happened again, but this time Lilia witnessed it and knew two things.

one- she just discovered a miniature shark

and two- she was absolutely and completely in love with it.
