Two days later Moses sat in a small room in the hospital. He wasn't alone. Dennis and his father were there with him. Only problem is Dennis still hasn't woken up. His vital signs are normal but it didn't take this long for him to wake up the last time.

An X-ray of his neck revealed that the alien had fractured Dennis's neck and broke some blood vessels. With time the blood vessels healed but the fractured was going to need weeks to fix.

Moses and Dennis's father both sat in chairs facing Dennis. He had an IV tube in his left arm. His neck was visible just like the scar on his neck. The doctor said that the tissues in his neck were damaged and without medicine the wound would scar up.

"You know, he did mention you last time he was awake." Moses said breaking the silence. "He spoke of how he regretted being an ungrateful brat and how if he died he'd never get to apologize."

"He isn't ungrateful. Never has been. He can be a brat sometimes but he's a teenager. I can't say I was any better." His father replied.

They heard a moan coming from Dennis. He finally opened his eyes. They both rushed to his side. Dennis's eyes closed tightly as a reaction to the lights and he made another moan as he reacted to the new sounds.

Eventually, his eyes adjusted to the light and he looked to his father then to Moses. He smiled at both of them and they smiled back. It was Moses who spoke first.

"Told you we've be safe when you woke up again." He said.

"I never doubted you." His speech was quiet but hearable as he closed his eyes again. "I'm guessing they're all dead."

"They are. Most importantly everyone is safe." Moses said.

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. When you told me to back down before I got attacked and nearly killed." Dennis said. He was still quiet.

"Don't worry about it. You survived and that's what matters." Moses smiled.

"Thanks to you." Dennis took a deep breath as he continued to speak. "So what happened while I was unconscious? I remember Tia burning Hi-Hatz, Ron pouring that stuff on my neck and our last conversation. How you held me in your arms."

Dennis's father looked to Moses while Moses was focuses on Dennis.  At that moment he knew Dennis was trying to hint something to Moses.

"I think you could use some food and water, son. Let me go get that for you." Dennis's father spoke leaving before he could reply. Dennis knew that he was really saying "Let me give you two some alone time.

"Well I thought he'd be happier to see you awake. He barely said a word. I mean he just left without really speaking." Moses was confused. Dennis explained.

"He thinks that I should be eating since I haven't done that in." He paused wondering how long he's been in a coma for. "How long?"

"Two days." Moses answered.

"Wow, only two days? I thought it had been a week or so. I blacked out completely." Dennis replied. He felt so tired. "Who knew being in a coma was so fucking tiring?"

Without thinking Moses put his hand into his pocket and felt a piece of paper. He took it out and read it.

Hello again Moses,

I see you have succeeded in your mission. I bet you want to tell Dennis everything that happened. Even the events of the first trail and you can. On one condition. You must kiss Dennis.

Good luck!

Your lord and savior, Jesus's father,

God
