Alexa awoke in a uncomfortable stretcher bed. She tried to sit up, but her body was in a paralysed state. She couldn't open her eyes but she could hear everything around her. "I thought this was safe Mrs Wood. You said yourself that it was safe." Alexa could make out that the voice was Kyle's. "It should be. It was the same medicine used on the twins." Mrs Woods voice was shakey. "The twins are dead Mrs Wood." Kyle had that low tone that could send shivers down your spine. "The twins died of blood loss! Not because of the medication!" Mrs Wood had never yelled at Kyle before. In fact she has never yelled in her life! Alexa thought. The door slammed. Alexa was ginally able to open her eyes. "Oh. Your finally awake." Kyle was sitting on a chair beside the stretcher bed. "Wheres Mrs Wood. And what twins?" Kyle looked at Alexa in shock. "You were asleep! How did you.." Kyle backed away from Alexa as if she just murdered someone. "Sleep paralysis." Alexa explained. "If you know what that is of course." Alexa muttered as if she had been insulted. "Oh. My mistake." Kyle calmed himself down. They both talked about the pills she took that made her pass out. "Maybe if we gave it a second try it would work." Alexa suggested. She didn't like her idea but she would do anything to get out of that asylum. Kyle nodded his head as he opened the drawer next to the stretcher revealing a small box. He opened to small box and inside was a few of the IODINE X pills. He handed her a pill. "Do you need some water?" Kyle asked as she looked at the pill. "No, it's fine." Alexa gathered a bit of saliva in her mouth to act as the liquid solution for it to go down her throat properly. Her vision swirled and distorted. W-what the hell is happening!? Alexa thought. She rubbed her eyes. When she opened them she was greeted with Kyle's head sitting on the chair where he once sat. She looked around at all the other horrors that appeared In the room. She started to feel dizzy. The doctor sighed. "I was really hoping this would work this time..." He pulled the blankets over Alexas torso. He walked out of the room locking the wooden door behind him. Alexa lay in the stretcher for at least another 3 days. She opened her eyes, she was sitting in her old room. Her mother was sitting in a chair reading a story book. "Alright sweetie, time to sleep," her mother kissed her forehead. Is this a dream? Alexa thought. She stood up when her mum closed the door. She went to open the window, as she opened the window she could feel handprints as cold as ice push her over the ledge. She awoke in fright. Okay... Alexa it was just a dream she thought. Okay, back to sleep.
