2~Weird Combo

"Excuse me , Sir. What would you like to drink?", the air hostess spoke snapping me out of my trail of thoughts.

"I would like a bottle of cool water" , I replied.

"And ma'am , what would you like to have ?" , she asked Min-jin while giving me the bottle of water.

I would like a coke and lemon soda, she spoke without hesitation.

I quietly observed while Min-jin was given the drinks.

Min-jin broke open both the cans and poured the lemon soda into the coke.She gave the can a nice shake and gulped the drink in one shot.

"Hah !"  , she sighed with happiness."Awesome as ever!"

I could feel people gaping at her with a disgusted look.But looks like Min-jin is least bothered.

Maybe she didn't change after all. 

<<FLASHBACK>>

"I'm sorry Min-jin. It totally slipped out of my mind", I whined shooting her my puppy eyes.

She spoke as she turned the other way in fury, "How can you forget my birthday, Taehyung !?! In fact I thought you would be the first person to wish me!! "

"I know , I know.I'm really sorry.I'll make it up to you, promise. As for now, I'll get you your favorite drink " , I grinned."Wait here, I'll be back" , I stated as I gently seated her on one of the benches and rushed to a nearby wending machine.

I quickly grabbed the drinks and got back to her.She still looked really angry.

But as soon as she looked at the drinks which I held out to her , a smile made its way on her face.

"Would you quit staring at me ?If you need the drink , get it yourself! " , Min-jin frowned at me.

"Ah , no. I'll pass." , I rather not drink anything than have that.

I always wondered how she liked this weird combo.

So cute.

"Ah!!!", I heard a loud screech behind me.

I cranked my neck to see who it was. A young girl of around two to three years was crying while demanding something from the lady seated behind us.

Probably she's her mother.

I turned back and saw Min-jin staring at the child with a worried expression.

"Excuse me , Miss ! Would you please calm down your child.This is getting really annoying", a nearby passenger yelled at the lady making the child cry even more louder.

Well, I don't blame her . It's become really noisy.

I tried to ignore it and closed my eyes.

I felt the seat shift near me.

I opened my eyes only to find Min-jin caressing the girl to calm her down.

The lady did not protest and smiled at Min-jin.

"Thank you " , the lady stated as Min-jin placed the girl on her lap.

But the girl never stooped whining. Min-jin tried everything but no use.

"Oh God!!!Please make her quiet already !!!" , the same passenger screamed again.

I was silently watching all of this.I don't wish to find any such trouble.

"A prince !! " , the girl squealed as she jumped on to me.

I was shocked by the sudden reaction.I signaled Min-jin to get the kid off of me.

The little girl hugged me and settled comfortably on my lap.

Yah , I'm not your cushion!!Get off me!

The girl then smiled peacefully dozing off to sleep.

"Awww!! " , all the passengers had a delightful look on their faces.

I gave them a weak smile.

Okay , at least she's not troubling me.I guess I'm fine with it.

I then felt Min-jin glaring at me with her eyebrows furrowing.

I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Sorry , but the kid loves me.There's nothing I can do " , I teased her.

She bit her lip trying to control her rage and resumed reading her book.

Hmm.It's been three years yet it's only her appearance which has changed.She's still the same old self. 

That's the Min-jin I fell in love with.
