Picking Up Her Heart

The next morning as Regina tries to get up and crawl out of bed as she put on a simple black jump suite and leaves her hair down.

Regina walks past Henry room as she notices that he's not in there as she checks the rest of the rooms as she rushes down the stairs as she notices that David is down there as Henry looks at his mom " sorry mom, I got up early and grandpa David stopped by to see how you were doing, and can he join us for breakfast?".

Regina looks at David as he walks over to her " I didn't mean to barge in on you, I have just been worried about you and I thought that I could cook breakfast for the both of you".

Regina smiles softly at David " sure why not and how are things with you and snow going" as Regina looks at Henry asking " do you mind giving your grandpa and I some space to talk about some adult stuff?".

Henry nods and walks to the living room and picks up one of his favorite comic books as David goes to make some pancakes as he asks " so answer me honestly Regina, how have you been doing?".

Regina looks at David " to be honest not so good but I'm a villain and we don't get happy endings even when we try to be good, but I'm trying to be strong for Henry because he's been through so much already and I don't want him to take care of me because that's not his job".

David rest his hand on Regina shoulder " I know that Henry worries about you because your his mom and he knows that your hurting inside and he just wants to helps you feel better Regina that's not a bad thing".

Regina sighs a bit " I know it's just that I'm his mother and it's my job to make sure that he is taken care of despite my mess of a love life".

David mixes the pancake batter and puts the mix in the pan " well Regina, your doing the best you can as his mom and you need to stop being so hard on your self because Henry loves you very much and at the end of the day he just wants you to be happy".

Regina looks at David with her tired black eyes " that doesn't feel possible right now".

David stares at Regina with his blue eyes " well for what you did to set Robin free took courage and I don't know if I would have been able to do that but one thing I do know is that no matter what your heart will find happiness again".
