It was a tragic story for my mom.
She used to be a loving lady with a kind heart.
Few months after she got her 2nd boyfriend, she got her heart broken by the man she loved with all her life.
He left her, leaving her with a daughter in her womb.
She can't believe how irresponsible her beloved is. She raised their child alone, as a single mom.
After she gave birth to her daughter, she resigned at Taiyou Yuden. She managed to establish her own business to sustain her growing daughter's needs.
As her daughter ages to 4, it counted as a mark of the 4th year since she stopped believing in men .
She promised to never trust them again. Any of them.
She turned to a cold-hearted monster. No man on earth should cross on her ways or else, that guy will never see the sun shine again.
It was long enough since she last had her sweetest dream.
In her dream, she was inside the church, kneeling and praying to God for a husband who'll never make her life miserable.
That scenario in her dream is seldom to see in reality.
Since she got broken, she stopped believing that He would hear her prayers.
In her dream, her prayer was interrupted with the entrance of a young man, maybe 20+ old. She glanced at him yelling his "name" .How rare it was to call somebody with a name whom she never met or have known.
Then the morning woke her up and started her day. She was so disgusted with the thought of a man coming back to her life.
Couple months later , it was nearly midnight, when she suddenly heard someone knocking on her front door. She hesitated to open it. But still curious of whom the hell is knocking on her door on a late night.
She calms herself and opened the door for a stranger... A man, to be exact.
He, on his side , came to her residence for a special mission. He have heard that there's a woman who's been a single mom for many years. He planned to make her say yes when he would ask her to be his girlfriend.
Amazed by his braveness, she smirked as a response. She can't believe such a man who's so courageous enough to face her with such an agenda.
Back on his side, despite the fact that he has no wealth to offer to such a wonderful and responsible woman like her, he still managed to face her confidently and asked her hands.
Shocked by his first move, she wasn't able to think about the next word to come out from her mouth.
She immediately joked him that if he's really courageous enough then she doesn't want a boyfriend, she's now in need of a husband!
The man was so serious that he never noticed how she was just kidding. He said "Fine, I'll go home and come back tomorrow."
Relieved that the man was out her sight, she sighed. She hopes he'd never come back again and show his face.
The next night he showed up!
Now, he brought his parents with him.
Oh no! she needs to find a way out this whole damn thing. But no! there are no other way out than to suicide, but she'll never do that.
She explained to him that she wasn't serious with what he said to him the other night.
But the man was so serious, he said he'd commit suicide. He would jump his way to death on the first bridge he'll see. Afraid by the guilt, she agreed. She knows this is all her fault.
The night they were getting to know each other, she realized, this was the man he saw on her dreams!
As they were talking, they soon found out that he is 7 years younger than her. He's just mere 23 while she's 30 years old. See the gap? She was discouraged when she found that she's going to marry a man younger than her.
A month passed, they got married. On their first night as husband and wife, my mom refused to sleep with such a stranger. And so she slept at her mother's house.
The next days they were going smooth. But still the awkwardness was there, gapping them from each other.
After a year; she gave birth to their daughter, his first, but her second child.
Starting that day, she finally believed again that there is still hope for men to change in this world. She finally felt the warmth of love running through her veins.
She was never been so joyful like this.
She learned to love him as he has loved her so much as days passed.
6 years later, another tragedy came to her life. This time around it's more painful than the first tragedy of her life. It made her numb knowing her beloved husband is dead.
Every night, she cries without letting her children know.
She showed braveness. She never fell down even how much life has tested her endurance.
She never broke down and remained in the depths of loneliness. She stood up, both for herself and her two daughters.
As the days pass by, she learned to accept everything. She thought that if she continues to be drowned, people will just pity her.
Crying won't take her any further. So She started another journey of her life without her partner. Until now, she's fighting everyday's struggles.
And things are not as good without him. Life is battle for survival. Where only tough men survives.
But she's not alone.
I am here.
We are here for her.
