The next week went by in a blur. All that I did was listen to music, read my books, go to church, and occasionally play Just Dance 4. I was too lazy to turn on my computer, so Igot on my phone to check my Facebook. I scrolled for a while (after poking everyone back and replying to all the messages) until I saw the same picture for the contest except the caption was longer. I liked it again and clicked "continue reading' until the whole thing was vivible:
"hey! I'm Brittany, and I'm a 13 tear old directioner from a tiny town in Mississippi. I've wanted to be a singer since I was 6 (that year was the first time I sang for an audience, and I was LITERALLY the only one on stage). By the time I was 11, I started writing songs. I thought I was pretty good, but I was young- what did I know. I wrote about 6 or 7 until I as 12 1/2. I got a guitar a couple of months after by 13th birthday -missing 2 strings and all scratched up-. i made the WORST mistake of my life when I entered the 1st annual talent show at my school with an original song. I was humiliated, not just from the song choice... my crush was there, too. I felt unwanted, unappreciated, ugly, and useless. I turned to God. he helped a lot, but I didn't feel directly connected. The directioners treated me like family even though I didn't know a single one of them. The boys' story made me feel better -after I heard what i did, it's like I'm Liam's girl form- and gave me confidence with my dreams. I really hope I can win this because my family really doesn't have the money, so far this summer my stepdad's been to the hospital 3 times -once with kidney failure, once with heart problems, once with both. This is my ONLY chance them, or even go to a concert AT ALL. The only way my parents will let me go is if I get star treatment, because my mom is WAAAY too overprotective.
