Lauren's P.O.V
"Lauren!" I hear my mother yell from the kitchen.
"Yes?" I shout back.
"You need to set the table for dinner!"
I walk down stairs thinking about my birthday coming up soon. I am turning 18 next Saturday. It's also the first day of summer for me. I can't wait! I will finally be legal. Yes! I thought to myself.
Walking into the kitchen, I see my mom wearing a blue and white apron.
"Hey mom. I'll set the table now."
"Thanks honey." She says with a smile.
"No problem. What's for dinner?" I ask.
"Oh it's your favorite! Steak!" She replies with excitement in her voice.
"Yes! I'm so hungry!" I say as I see the steaks being put into the table.
My dad, my mom, and I all sat at the table. You could see the hunger in our eyes.
"Thanks for the steak." I thank my parents while chewing the delicious food.
"You're welcome." They both say at same time, chewing their food too.
There is steak, corn, and macaroni and cheese. It's all so tasty and my steak is cooked just like I like it, medium rare to rare. Most people think its gross, but I love it. I break the silence to ask my parents a question.
"So when are we going to see Dani again?" I ask while we were all still eating.

"She's coming in tomorrow night. She is also bringing a friend. I think his name is Harry." My mom explains.
"Cool. Thanks again for the dinner. I'm going to try to go to sleep so I can be prepared when Dani comes. Good night. Love you." I say as I clean my plate and place it in the dish washer.
"Goodnight sweetie. Love you." My mom kisses me on the forehead.
"Night girly, get some sleep." My dad says as he hugs me.
I am now thinking about my sister as I walk up the stairs. She just graduated from high school and I believe her friend Harry is in my grade. I have never met Harry but my sister says he's a nice guy.
As I make my way into my room, I look around to find my phone. I soon find it on top of my dresser next to my perfume. I open my phone up to my messages and I decide to text Dani.
L~ "Hey, I can't wait to see you tomorrow!"
D~ "I know! I can't wait for you to meet my friend."
L~ "Yeah, mom told me you were bringing a friend...a guy friend."
D~"He's a nice boy. He's in your grade too. Just don't fall madly in love with him! Haha."
L~ "Ok, ok! Stop! Well, tomorrow is gonna be awesome! I get to spend all summer with my big sister!"
D~ "Don't forget about Harry!"
L~ "Ok him too. But this is really gonna be fun!"
D~ "Yeah it is."
L~ "Ok well I'm going to go to bed now because I have my last day of school tomorrow. I'm so happy school is almost over! Yay!"
D~ "Ok. Have fun on your last day of school! Can't wait to see you and the fam! Love you!"
L~ "Love you too, night."
D~ "Night."
As I check through my Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter once more, my eyelids are starting to feel heavy. I close my eyes with my phone still in my hand. The next thing I knew, it was morning.
