Now exiting the kitchen with Dani, I see Harry is on the couch with his hands crossed on his legs.
"Hey." Harry says as he notices that I am back with Dani.
"Hello."
Dani sits down on the couch next to Harry. I sit in the chair across from Dani. It is completely silent, and a little awkward. I just want this day to be over, but then I remeber that it is only 11:00am. Great. I hope we don't have to go out today, even though it is my birthday.
"Ok. Can we please do something today instead of just sitting here and not even talking." Dani breaks the silence.
"Umm." I dont want to go anywhere.
"Oh how about we go shopping?" My mom suggests.
"Anything is fine with me." Harry says eyeballing the floor with his hands in his pockets.
"Ok, then it's settled. Shopping it is."
Everyone jumps into the car and we drive to the mall. The ride there is shorter than I remembered.
As we walk into the mall, it isn't too bad, but it is for sure not empty. I see Victoria's Secret and instantly remember that I need new under garments. I decide that I will buy some a different time, because my mom, Dani, and Harry are with me. That would just be awkward.
When we reach the food court, I spot a short girl with blonde hair sitting down at the table near Chick-Fil-A. It's Jenna! She is my bestfriend. I didn't know that she would be here today.
I smile and walk towards her, followed by the others. She is with her mom.
"Hey Jenna!" I say catching her offguard.
"Lauren! Why didn't you text me and tell me that you were coming?" She replies while standing up and giving me a hug.
"I don't know. Haha." I almost forgot that Harry, Dani, and my mom were behind me.
My mom is now talking with Jenna's mom about who knows what, and Dani is listening to their conversation. I look at Harry and he is looking at Jenna, smiling. Not just any smile, a smirk. A flirtly smirk.
