Love Lasts Forever

Scene 1: Funeral Home

[Smooth, soft and sad piano music plays in the background. You can hear people weeping. The camera pans to the right on a wooden podium we see an envelope and written on the envelope it says "Love lasts forever"]

Christian: Do you believe in true love? One that is strong. A love that burns your heart. A love that never ends....... a love that lasts forever. Well I believe it and this is my story. [Final words go to cut off which is a black screen]

Scene 2: Christian's house

[Normal morning, Christian gets up, takes a hot shower as he plays music]

Christian: I start my day like any other old day! [Draws a smiley face on the fogged glass mirror and laughs] but I guess today would turn out a little bit different than usual. [He walks into his room and throws a bunch of clothes into the hallway. Until he finally comes out looking fresh and classy!] Today is the day! [Grabs a bouquet of flowers] I'm going to ask Renae to be my girl! I mean yeah so what I've only known her for one semester and she doesn't really talk to me but we do text! She is perfect and she is exactly like me!

Scene 3: Campus

[Christian walks out and sees Renae sitting alone on a bench]

Christian: Hey Renae! [He exclaims louder] Renae?

[Renae looks up with a strange look on her face and gives Christian sign language]

Christian: How could I not know? She was deaf this whole time. Maybe that's why she never talked to me? Ain't that the truth.

[As Christian looks down in shock and disbelief, Renae pulls out a notebook and starts to write]

Renae: I'm sorry.

Christian: For what?

Renae: For not telling you.

[Christian looks down and takes out his phone]

Christian: Could you give me one minute?

[He opens up his browser and looks up how to use sign language and he asks "will you go out with me?", she nods and runs up to him for a big hug.]

Scenes 4 Flowers

[Christian stealthily walks behind Renae and then puts his hands to cover her eyes. Renae smiles knowing it was Christian. She took his hands off and Christian ran around her and presented her with one of the same bouquets he did on the day he asked her out]

Scene 5 notebook

[ we see Renae take out a notebook from her bag. Written on it was both of their names in a beautiful cursive font. She turns the pages.]

Renae: "I LOVE YOU!"

Christian: [ Christian lets out a shy little chuckle before he starts to write]"I LOVE YOU TOO"

Scene 6 hospital bed

[we see christian outside sitting on a chair crying in his hands and as the camera pans we see renae's family inside the hospital room]

Doctor: Hey bud. I know you are going through a tough time. Renae said she wanted to talk with you, so go ahead and head on in there.

[ Christian walk in slow, wiping his tears away as he greets Renae's father and mother. He looks down at Renae and moves to her bedside. Renae grabs their journal and writes " I LOVE YOU" as soon as she writes this she drops the journal on the floor and the pen falls slowly behind. The monitor lets out a loud beeping sound signalling that she is now dead.]

Scene 7 Renae's last...

[ Sad piano music plays you can hear people crying]

Christian: Why didn't she tell me? She had all this time with me and why?! Why did she not tell me!

[Renae's mother goes up to Christian and hands him their notebook]

Renae's mom: Here. She wanted you to keep it. She wrote in it the day that she..... You know..... And now it's yours.

Renae's Voice: I'm sorry my love...... I knew I was going to leave soon and I didn't want you to worry.... Look don't cry okay? Just be happy because I'm in a better place and hopefully you know.... Soon... I'll be able to see you again. I'll be able to hug you and tell you I love you, I'll be able to feel the Sparks that I so dearly missed when you kissed me. I'll miss you .....a lot! But for now I'm going to love you for as long as I can and hold you for as long as I can! I'm never going to stop loving you, ever! I'll be waiting here for you.... I love you Christian.

Scene 8 Christian's room

[he's sitting down on the floor of his room as he writes in their notebook and while he is writing you see tears start to roll down his cheek.]

Christian: Why do I cry you ask? You've left me here alone to slowly die on the inside and on the out... I'm a mess. [chuckles] [ as the words go by his room changes showing the years are going by] The days get longer because my sun doesn't shine any longer..... My nights are lonely and cold with no one to tell goodnight or that I love them. But now.. Now it hits me at my lowest point [scene changes to a hospital bed] I'm still in my youthful years but look at me on the inside! I'm broken and I've grown old! Every single night I see the sky under which we told each other "I love you" and I see the stars that shined so bright that same day. Every single day I wake up to the sunny sky shining on my face just like it was the day I asked you to be my girl. But I won't be able to see this anymore.....

Scene 9 Christian's funeral

My time has come, I have been called to my judgement. I have missed you dearly and I prayed for me to finally see you again..... I'm coming home. I have not forgotten you. Your very presence has burned in my heart and mind. I can no longer wait to see you, to feel you, to love you, to hold you close again. Now I'm going to spend an eternity in peace with you, and I will finally get to share all my stories with you while you were gone, and you will be able to tell me all of your stories and adventures while I was gone too. I'm finally coming home Renae, I'm coming home...

[ goes back to the first scene we saw in the film with the letter laying down flat on a wooden podium and the word "Love Last Forever written" on an envelope]

Christian: So do you believe in true love? One that is strong. A love that burns your heart. A love that never ends....... a love that lasts forever. Well I believe it and this was my story...... [fades off to a black screen]
