jin arrived at baek chomi's house. he checked himself once more just to make sure he looked presentable. he rang the door bell and an old man, probably her father, opened the door.

jin : hi

him : hello young man

jin : is baek chomi here ?

him : she's not here

jin : oh she told me that she'd be here where is she ?

a tear escaped from the old man's eyes.

him : she is gone

jin : oh did she went somewhere ?

him : yes she did

jin : where ?

the man pointed his finger to the sky.

him : she's dead

jin : what ? that can't be we were just texting a while ago see ?

he showed his phone where their convo was to the man.

him : she died a year ago young man

a tear escaped from jin's eyes. he could not believe what he just said.

him : are you kim seokjin ?

jin : yes

him : come inside i have something to give you

the man gave him a small pink envelope as he sat down.

him : she told me to give it to you if you ever come

him : that's what she told me before she died of leukemia

a tear fell to the enevelope and he opened it not destroying the envelope because he thought that he must treasure the last thing she gave him.

if you ever get this letter then destiny sure did find a way. when you went to seoul because you wanted to become a singer and sing infront of a thousand people. a few days later, i started feeling and experiencing difficult things so i decided to go to the hospital. i thought it must be nothing serious but my father came to me with this look and then i knew it was serious. he told me i had leukemia and i felt sad and angry at the same time.

i needed to take all these medicines that tasted like hell and then check ups. i thought i was wasting a lot of money from my dad and my mother didn't even help us. she was busy with her other husband and family. one day while i was walking for fresh air, i saw dad kneeling down infront of my mom and i cried nonstop after that scene. i then decided that i would not be taking medicines and treatment anymore because it was no use. i knew i was going to die anyway.

remember that time you told me and promised me that you were gonna be a popular singer one day ? i remember you saying that i needed to see your debut and cheer you. but then i knew i would not see your debut nor cheer you.

i was slowly dying.

if you're reading this and is now a successful and popular singer. congratulations for achieving your ultimate goal. i'm sorry i missed your debut.

i need to tell you something and this will probably the first and last time i will say this to you.
