CHAPTER 1
"Armara...."
"Mmmm....."
"Armara!!!"
"I'm up!" I yelled sitting up at lightning speed. I fell of the bed realizing that it was 6.27 am.
"Oh nooo" I groaned.
I was supposed to have been up an hour ago.
You see my mother and I have just moved into a new town, into a new house so I had promised her that I would help her unpack plus I have to be at school by 7.00 am on the dot so yeah.I rushed to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and hurried out of my room, down the hallway into the living room where her voice had come from to find her standing with her hands on her hips.
"Morning and sorry" I said not looking her in the eyes.
"What are you sorry for?"
"Uh..." I said scratching the back of my neck lost for words.
She stared at me inquisitively.
"Well.... by the way you called I thought I was in trouble or something"
"Oh no no no you are not in any troubled honey, I just wanted to get your opinion of how I should setup this room before you left for school that's all "
"Oh... haha... uhm okay"
"Sooooo.....?"
"Well I think that the sofas should go here and... " I said sitting on one of the boxes. I drew the set up I had in mind on the back of a piece of paper I found lying around.
In no time I was done.
"There!" I exclaimed looking at my piece of art.
"Wow! That's going to look good " mother said taking the paper from me. She looked at it then at the room as if visualizing how it would look once finished.
"Well you better get going if you want to get to make it to school on time "
I moaned as I stood and trudged towards my bedroom.
At approximately 6.49 am I was done with only 11 minutes to get to school.I don't like being late because it creates a bad first impression especially since it is my first day at a new school. Just so you know do not ever be late on such occasion like these. There is no such thing as being "fashionably late ". Ever.
My afro bounced as I grabbed an apple and raced out of the house leaving the door to close after me. I had on black skinnies, sneaks, a white tank top and to top it off I had a black and white scotch shirt tied around my waist.
