After rambling about bands and how he might think I'm certifiably insane, Harry finally stopped talking. I looked over to see his mouth slightly hanging open and his eyes shut tight.

Eyes on the road. I remind myself mentally.

It's like I'd never driven before.

I turned Harry's music off when he started to lightly snore. It would have been annoying if it weren't so damn cute.

I drove in silence until around 12:30. Then sleep became too tempting.

I came upon a low budget motel that I normally wouldn't have stopped at, but with Harry, I knew that I could and be fine.

I pulled in to the parking lot and wondered what to do next. I decided to just leave Harry in the car while I went an got a room.

I walked into the lobby and was hit with the smell of mothballs and pine scented air freshener. There was a young woman at the desk, flipping through a fashion magazine, and chomping away on the gum in her mouth.

"Hello." I greeted, walking up to the desk.

"Hi." She replies shortly, tossing her magazine to the side, "Are you with us just for the night?"

"I am."

"Alright, one bed or two?"

"Two." I say. Definitely two.

"Ninety dollars."

Ninety dollars was more than I wanted to spend on a hotel, but it was worth avoiding an awkward night sharing a bed with Harry.

If I was being honest with myself it was because I was avoiding a not awkward night with Harry. He was just so tempting and we got along so well.

I handed over the money and took the room key from her before heading back to the car.

Looking through the window, Harry was still sleeping. I shivered in the cold fall wind before I lightly tapped on the glass.

I think he snored louder.

I opened his door.

"Harry." I said in my normal tone.

Nothing.

"Harry." I say a little louder, grabbing his arm.

Still nothing.

"Harry!" I somewhat shout, shaking his arm.

He stirs and opens his eyes slightly to look at me.

"Can I help you?" He smirks.

"We're at a motel. I got us a room." I tell him, trying not to get distracted by the way he's stretching his long body in the cramped seat.

"Great!" His voice is that of someone who just got wonderful news, not that of someone who just got told they were spending the night at a rundown motel.

He jumped out of the car and went around back to the trunk.

I followed opened it, reaching for a small bag I had put back here with my night stuff and a couple outfits to choose from. Before I could grab it though, Harry snatched it away and quickly shut the trunk with his other hand.

"We should stop and pick me up a couple of things tomorrow." Harry threw out there, not so much like it was necessary, but that it was simply something to think about and consider.

"We can do that." I reassure him.

We walk through the doors into the lobby once more. The woman at the desk is back to flipping through her magazine. She looks up, a bored expression on her face. It changes rapidy when she sees the now present Harry. She bolts up straight in her seat, her eyes widening at an alarming rate.
