My eyes slowly start to open as I see that mean dog before me. I jump becoming more and more startled than I've ever been. The dog grows at me and barks once it notices me wake up. Shoot. I think to myself. The man with the tattoos must have heard because I could hear footsteps off in the distance. The door swings open.
"Eliza. This is buster. He will make sure you don't leave."
Mr T (for tattoos) leaves and slams the door. This dog was big. It had a squareish head. Must be a Pitbull. He has a leather chain around his neck. The dog has a few scratches and blood on his skin and fur. Seems like he's been in a few dog fights. He seems set up to be mean, but behind those blue cold eyes, I still see a ocean of kindness. He makes his way over to me and steals my crackers. That's the only food I brought. He eats twenty at a time like it was a crumb. I honestly think that every dog has a little bit of compassion in it, but I'm not seeing it.
Buster leaves the room and I sort of feel lonely. I can't believe he ate my crackers. Chances are, he probably doesn't get food either. My stomach is growling and all I have left is an orange. I can't eat it until my life depends on it.
Buster comes back with a steak in his mouth. I guess I was wrong. He does get fed. He starts to walk towards me with it. I reach for the steak and he growls at me. He almost bites my hand off. I reach on the top of my head and I feel a bump. There is some blood too. I'm used to it so I don't care. People like to tell me that one day, I will find my forever home, but that day evidently isn't coming soon.
The door starts to open and my foster dad comes back in. There seems to still be footsteps even after he stops walking. As if out the blue, a new girl comes in. Well, she's thrown in by the man. The men leaves and slams the door.
