Game 1

"Sarah, are you all set?" my mom asked as she went into my room.

"Yeah. I'm ready to go." I answered.

"Are you sure? Clothes? Underwear? Toiletries? Money?"

"Check, check, check, and check."

"How about your house key? If you somehow left it here then you'll be sleeping on the streets tonight. And the credit card we gave you, be sure to keep it with you at all times." she reminded me. I rolled my eyes, typical mother.

"House key, check and credit card," I paused as I got the credit card from my pouch, showed it to her "another check."

My mom cupped my cheeks and kissed my forehead. I knew my leaving for college is worrying her and as much as possible I keep my excitement in check until I leave the house.

"I'm going to miss you." she whispered, tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm going to miss you too mom. Be sure to take care of yourself and dad. And don't worry, I'll be home sooner than you think." I winked at mom.

"Hi sweetheart. Are you done packing up?" my dad asked as he enters my room. I nodded and grinned at him. Though he's a bit worried about me, I know that he's really happy that I'm finally going to college.

"Come on, let me help you with that." He lifted the heaviest bag from the floor leaving me to carry the lighter ones.

The luggages are now safely tucked in the car's trunk. I hugged my parents one last time and gave each a kiss on the cheeks. Tears starts brimming in my eyes. I'm gonna miss my parents, the people who took care of me and made me who I am today.

I waved to them as I get inside my car. Once inside, I buckled my belt - it has become a habit of mine. I started the car and slowly drove out. A block away, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I put it on speaker and my bestfriend - Shae, greeted me with a squeal.
