Paint the world in bland sepia tones,

Reminisce of days before telephones,

Rejoice! The new age we've awaited has begun.

Regret! The golden age we've left behind is done.

Child, do you know what we have paid?

Just to live in a world where morals have frayed?

Child, haven't you ever seen a blue sky?

Well I assure you, it's prettier than the most sapphire eye.

And I want you to tell me the meaning of divine,

Without having smelt the smells of fresh alpine.

I want you to explain the warmth of the sun,

When you've only ever seen fake heat being spun.

And even though there's a certain charm to this day,

I would certaintly have gone back in time anyday.

To see the end of this synthetic world,

Would be a feat well done and reality unfurled.

And yes, I'm waiting for the end of this existence,

And yes, I'd trade false paradise for civilian resistance,

Before I die, I want you to see better times

Times where your beliefs mean more than all them dimes!

My dear boy, I want you to know,

That I'm leaving - I can't wait, I have to go..

But I'll be watching, waiting for you to figure it out,

So we can end this parade of idiots; this knowledgeless drought.

You've reached the end of published parts.
