It was just another ordinary day. The short blonde would hurry home from school and help his grandfather get some things done as both of his parents had died. He then would coop up in his room laying on his stomach in bed with his laptop on his pillow with books scattered around. He would message his boyfriend Eren who lived across the country. He was usually up all night or at least late into the night/early morning before falling asleep out of exhaustion.
At least it seemed like an ordinary day. The only problem was...Eren wasn't texting back. Armin would usually just be patient and wait but Eren got out of school hours before him and always answered back. He also knew how Erens dad was, he wasn't lets just say...excepting. "It's been 2 hours...why isn't he responding...?" He asked himself worriedly.
Armin had waited all night for him to text back but got no response. He eventually fell asleep after worrying himself about why he wasn't answering him. He even thought if he had done something to upset him, but ultimately thought about Erens father.
The next day Armin woke, immediately checking his messages. There was still no response from Erens side. Armin started getting ready for school pondering on the idea of Eren getting hurt and not being there to help. He closed his laptop after getting dressed and put it under his pillow. He then walked downstairs getting them breakfast then leaving. He ran out for the bus, nearly missing it. "Darn it" he whispers under his breath.
His whole school day consisted of avoiding other people, doing school work, reading, and thinking about Eren. After school he got in the bus and sat in his own seat and stared out the window. He felt the bus come to a stop, and snapped back to reality. He got out quickly and ran inside. "Hey grandpa...?" He said nervously walking over to him.
"Yeah?" He answered sitting on the couch.
"Uhm...can I tell you something? Can you be open minded...?" Armin asked almost in a whisper.
"Yeah, get on with it" his grandfather answered.
"...I'm in love with a boy...on the other side of this country..." Armin said quickly, avoiding eye contact.
