Finally, pay day was here. Eren rushed to get his check. He had made 260 dollars for just working not counting the tips. He usually made pretty good tips except when he couldn't keep his mouth shut. If he didn't like it, you'd head or see it. He works after school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. He worked Sunday also sometimes. It bothered him that he got most of his tips from women but he just told himself it'll all be worth it in the end. It was only the second week of work. His first paycheck.
As he was walking to get his check the strange man that he gets ordered to wait on even though the man sits in the area he doesn't wait on, calls him over. ,Eren walks over and gives a smile even though in the inside he was freaking out and anxious to get his money and leave. The short black haired, tired looking man looked up at him with a smirk and handed him a 50 dollar bill "I can tell you've been working hard, what for? I can tell you have a pretty serious drive" the man says.
"Uhm...I'm trying to make money just because I want extra spending money" Eren replied.
The man looked him up and down "I can tell you're lying" he says.
Eren looks at him slightly shocked. He was pretty good at lying, no one's ever second guessed him except his parrents.
"What's your name kid?" The man asks
"Eren..." He answers uncomfortably
"Okay, well my name's Levi. Now tell me Eren, what are you really working this hard for?" The man asks
"...To see my boyfriend...He lives on the opposite side of the country..." Eren answers
"Hm" the man smirks "Really?"
Eren nods
"Let me see him" the man says
Eren hesitantly shows him his wallpaper of Armin blushing with his cute little smile.
The man looks blankly at the picture "Well, I'd be working pretty hard if that was my goal too" he says trying to be funny.
Eren smiles with an awkward laugh "yeah...I have to move in with him though..."
The man gives a curious look "oh, really? Why's that?" He asks
"Eh...if I left I couldn't come back..my uh...'father' doesn't accept so if j came back I'd probably get the shit beaten out of me" he says with a slight awkward laugh.
The man examines Eren "How old are you? And that boy of yours"
"I'm 17 right now but I'll be 18 soon, and Armins 16 right now" Eren says
Levi looks at him again "sit down, I'll buy you something"
"No, no. It's okay, I gotta get going anyways" Eren says uncomfortably.
"It's fine, sit down kid" The man says
Eren awkwardly sits down
Levi calls another waiter over "we'll just have water please". He then looks at Eren " How do you know that boy of yours is sincere?" He asks.
"We video chat alot" Eren answers
"How much longer are you staying here?" Levi asks
"Until my next paycheck" Eren says
"I'll tell you what, I'll help you out if you wait on me everyday until then." Levi says
"No, no. It's okay" Eren says
"Well that's too bad, it's happening. All you have to do is bring me my food and look pretty" Levi says
"O-okay..." Eren nods "Well I have to go home now" he says standing up "Nice talking to you" he says with a smile awkwardly walking away.
After Eren had walked away he put the money in his wallet that he had earned from tips and grabs his check. He then drives to the bank and put his check and tips in it. After that he drives home and walks in grabbing some clothes and shoves it in his backpack "I'm gonna spend the night at Jeans again! Be back on Sunday!" He yells also writing a note and hurrying out, driving to Jeans house. After he walks in he goes into Jeans room "hey" Eren says.
"Sup" Jean replies blasting music with his speaker.
Eren shrugs and sits on the bed
Jean sighs "you want to talk to your boyfriend don't you?"
Eren nods
Jean gets up off the bed and changes the song on his IPod and hands Eren his laptop
"Thank you by the way, I'm sorry if it bothers you" Eren says taking it
Jean shrugs "it's fine"
"Okay..." Eren says opening the laptop and logging into his account then calls Armin
After a couple minutes Armin answers wearing a white tank top and short girl jean shorts and smiles "hey"
Eren smiles slightly "Hey, have you convinced your grandpa yet?"
Armin shakes his head "no...I'm scared to..."
Eren sighs "I can't just show up to your house"
Armin looks away "If I have you call his phone...can you ask him for me?"
Eren sighs "If you want..."
Armin reads off his number and Eren starts to call putting it on speaker.
"Hello?" Armins grandfather answers
"Hello, is this Mr. Arlert?" Eren asked
"Yes, who is this?" Armins father asked
"This is Eren...I'm having some family problems and I need a place to stay. I don't have any other family members to live with at the moment, would it be alright if I could stay for a while? I have all the money and everything. I can get my own job and everything so all I'd really need is a place to sleep in" Eren says politely
"Wait a second, are you that kid Armin claims he loves?" Mr. Arlert asks
"Uh, yes sir" Eren answers
His grandfather sighs "I'll think about it, but if you try anything with my grandson I swear to God I'll bea-"
Eren interrupts "I understand sir, you see my father beats me and my mother alot, I have the scars to prove it. I wouldn't ever hurt some one like that, especially Armin"
Armins grandfather sighs "Good, now I have to go"
"Alright, well you have my number when you make up your mind" Eren replies then hangs up
After a minute Armin gets called by his grandfather and Armin sighs "I'll be right back..."
