Echo, stepped steadily out of the trailer, hearing the other horses. Listening to the wind and watching the riders put heavy saddles on the trembling horses. Thousands of people waiting to see the muscular horses whip around the barrels in complete shock. Echo, this 4 year old legend that take 3.55 seconds to make one round. The fastest barrel racing horse in the country. Every other horse is history.
Later that day....
Echo, side by side with her competitor getting ready to race. 4 barrels on the coarse, Echo and Mustang are competing side by side.
The buzzer goes off, Echo and Mustang burst out of the gates. They reach the first barrel at the same time, 0.44 seconds, second barrel, 1.44. Echo through the gates at 2.09 seconds. New record. Mustang races in at 2.11 seconds.
Echo makes history again.
