"You know, it's weird that the Dursleys haven't confronted me about being over here all the time. I thought by now they'd be suspicious that I was plotting to use magic against them or something." Harry said to me. We were in my bedroom, talking about random things. I was sitting in my beanbag chair, while he sat on the floor by my legs.

"Let's not jinx ourselves now," I warned him, grinning.

"Think that'll happen?"

"There's a chance."

"You're crazy,"

"Said no one ever." I smirked at him, knowing I won the argument. But, I don't get away with things like that easily.

"You have three seconds to run, beautiful." He raised his eyebrows at me, as I got up and began backing away. "Three!"

No fair! He forgot one and two! I tried dodging him, but, he just pounced on top of me, and we fell onto the bed.

Pinning me down, he tickled me like crazy. Why do boys always do that? Harry does it, dad does it, even Fred and George do it too!

"Harry, stop!" I spilled out between laughs. He ignored me, and moved his hands to my rib cage. That was when my dad came in. "What are you two doing in here?" Ugh, I'm busted!

"Dad, it's not what it looks like," I said, as Harry quickly got off of me.

"I know it's not. But, dinner's ready if you want any." I sighed with relief, and we followed him down the stairs. I was almost sure that he'd never let us go upstairs alone again. He claims to fear what goes on 'behind closed doors.'

With Harry and I, the only thing we do behind closed doors is talk and watch TV. But, I know he just doesn't want us to make any dumb choices, and land ourselves in a deep hole. Like I would ever do that? Please, I have class dad.

------------------------------------

It was an average day for me. Harry and I were on our way to the playground where we always went to hang out, due to the fact that no one ever went there. I was yelling at him for letting my dad cut his hair.

"I looked like a girl! I needed it cut!" He protested.

"You did not! You looked fine, and then you let my dad shave off all your beautiful hair." I wailed dramatically.

"It's not like I'm bald, Riley. See, I still have a lot left."

"Yeah, but not enough for me to braid your bangs anymore,"

He laughed, and slipped his arm around my waist. "Braid your own hair,"

"Easy for you to say. You don't have to worry about your arms getting tired when you do your hair."

Finally, we arrived. I sat down on a swing, and he sat beside me. The weather had been really hot lately, and my dad actually insisted that I wore shorts. Usually, I wasn't allowed because it was 'too nippy.' Yeah right, dad.

Anyway, I kicked the mulch around under my feet, enjoying the warm weather, and the sunset. Harry sat beside me in silence. So far this summer, we've spent a lot of our evenings doing just this. I never minded the silence. Just having someone I love right there in my presence was good enough for me to be happy.

Suddenly, I felt a raindrop on my nose. I looked up, and there were only a few grey clouds in the sky. Another few drops hit my face, making me sigh. "I guess we better head back."

We got up, and began jogging back to my house, our fingers laced together.

"Rain ruins everything." Harry complained.

"Almost everything," I corrected. "It's actually good lazy weather. When we get home, we can just cuddle and watch TV."

"I could live with that." We laughed, as we ran through my front door. By that time, it was pouring. Amber and dad both laughed at us, handing us towels. I dried my hair for the most part, and tried to dry my clothes enough to keep myself from dripping all over the carpet. Harry did the same.

There was a loud smack of thunder outside, making all of us jump. Lightning flooded the room, making the lights flicker.

"I don't know if you'll be able to make it home tonight, Harry. I'm not letting you walk in this." Dad said, closing the curtains.

I smirked to myself, thinking of us camping out in the living room, while watching horror movies.

"Does that mean Harry gets to sleep here all night?" Amber asked.

"I guess so,"

"You get to see my awesome nightlight, Harry! It really does work! It keeps away all the monsters." She said, clearly very excited.

"That sounds amazing. I wish I had a nightlight like that." He said, forcing an exciting look on his face.

"I think it's about time we get rid of that nightlight," Dad told her, raising his eyebrows.

"No thanks, dad. I like my nightlight."

He chuckled, and scooped her up. "How about a nice bath before bedtime? Riley, mind putting Lauren to bed?"

I nodded, as they headed upstairs. Harry followed me into the living room, where Lauren was sound asleep on the floor, her blanket under her. Carefully, I picked her up, and carried her to her nursery.

"You'd be a good mother," Harry commented as I tucked her in.

"Yeah right. I'd probably rip all my hair out on the first night." I replied quietly.

"I guess that's part of being a parent, I guess. Still, you'd be a good mother."

I shook my head at him, as we headed back downstairs. I began making a bed on the floor, while he laid on the couch. It was weird having my boyfriend spend the night, but, I guess it was also pretty exciting. Now I have someone to cling to when I watch scary movies.

"Wanna watch a horror movie?" I asked.

"Sure,"

Grinning, I got up and put in the scariest movie my dad owned. He loved them, and so did I. Speaking of my dad, here he came to interrupt. "I'm going to bed, you two. I better not find you guys doing anything suspicious." He warned.

"We won't, dad," I assured him, feeling my cheeks going red.

"Okay. Goodnight then. Try to be quiet so you don't wake the girls up, will you?"

We nodded, before turning the TV on. Once he was gone, I climbed onto the couch beside Harry, and the movie began. We sat there in silence as the characters began freaking out over weird sounds in their house when no one else was there and whatnot.

I slid right through that without even jumping once. But, soon enough, things were slamming, and people were screaming. I liked those parts. Everything was quiet, and then someone would suddenly begin shrieking.

That would scare me.

Harry held me closer to him, making me feel slightly better. Soon enough, I was sound asleep.
