Yugi was walking in the garden, admiring all the beautiful flowers, searching for that one rose he had found so beautiful when he first arrived at the castle. But when he got to the spot it was usually at, it was gone. Where was it? He didn't really have the moment to look around for when he turned, he saw that lovely rose. His eyes widened slightly as he followed the hand holding it only to see his Prince Charming, Yami Atem, a gentle smile gracing his face. "Good morning, my love."
Yugi smiled. "Good morning, Yami." But then a thought occurred to him. "You picked the rose?"
"I know how much you love this rose, so I decided to pick this just for you." Yugi took the rose in his small hands. "And do not worry, another will grow in its place, I promise."
He smiled again, Yami taking the rose from him and placing it in his hair. "I wasn't worried. I knew you would plant another, I just wanted to know why you picked it, that's all."
"Yugi, I would like to tell you something."
"Hmm? What is it?"
Yami took in a deep breath before grasping Yugi's hands in his own. "I am getting a new steward."
Yugi's eyes widened. "What...?" He seemed in pure shock.
"Please, let me explain. It was nothing you did, I promise you, but I find it unfitting if my love was to be my steward."
The boy's shock was replaced with question.
"Yugi, from the moment we met, I knew there was something very special about you, and I was lucky enough to have been granted the luxury of being with you. My father has been wanting me to find someone to love so that I may take over his throne some day, and I have found mine, my light."
Yugi's eyes suddenly widened when Yami let go of his hands, only to get down on one knee. He covered his mouth as the prince reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. When he opened it, there was a beautiful silver ring inside, the words "Yugi, my love" engraved on the inside. Yami then looked up at the boy with a gentle smile and said the words Yugi only dreamed of hearing.
"Yugi Moto, will you grant me the greatest honor of all...and marry me?"
Tears of joy slid down Yugi's face as he quickly nodded before collapsing to his knees, throwing his arms around the prince. Yami smiled and embraced the boy tightly before he pulled away, slipping the ring on his left hand. The prince lifted a hand and gently wiped the tears from Yugi's porcelain skin before cupping his cheek, pressing his lips to his beloved's in a passionate kiss. When they pulled away, Yami stared into Yugi's big, beautiful violet eyes with his deep crimson red ones, the boy suddenly smiling.
"Yes. I will marry you, Yami Atem." He finally said.
Tears suddenly slipped out of Yami's eyes as he wrapped Yugi in a tight embrace. "Thank you, Yugi... I love you so very much..."
"I love you too, Yami, and I always will... You freed me from my dark past..."
"And you freed me from a life of solitude and loneliness..."
And so, Yugi Moto and Yami Atem were to be married, the prince becoming a king with his beloved little Yugi by his side for all time. The two lived happily together, now married to be with one another forevermore. And they lived happily ever after...
The End...
