BRINGGGG! The last bell of the day rang at Shelbrook Middle School, but not every kid is happy about it. Mrs. Anderson's period six health class has to stay behind for detention. Alan and his best friend Charlie Hubble went into that bathroom to "go to the bathroom" just to get away from the devil that Mrs. Anderson really is. "Man, Mrs. Anderson really is evil" said Charlie with a sarcastic tone. "Charlie" said Alan, "What?" Charlie said, confused. "I need to tell you something" said Alan, while stuttering multiple times. "Tell away!" Said Charlie, happy to get at least a little excitement from the tiring day. "Actually, I shouldn't, it's really personal" Alan looked at his friend as if to say sorry. "Fine" said Charlie with a long sigh, "But anyway, we should get back to class before Satin thinks we were up to something" the two boys walked back to class, but Charlie slowed down a bit so it wasn't so obvious that they were talking. By the time they reached the classroom, all the students inside looked up at the single noise they had heard in a while. Mrs. Anderson eyes them suspiciously, and then motioned for them to return to their seats, but as Alan was about to move, his eyes started pulsing, every second it grew more anticipation in his small body, until finally, out of nowhere, a bullet shattered one of the windows looking out at the sports field. In all the tension, Alan's pulse grew so loud that he couldn't hear when Mrs. Anderson yelled for everyone to get down, but it was too late, Alan was shot in the stomach.
