Butter: You out ?
Bug: 5 more minutes.
Butter: okay. I'm already on my way.
Bug: Be careful. See you 10
Every Friday night, Butter & Bug met at a store that was exactly in the middle of their houses. They lived about 20 minutes apart from each other but only met in the middle since they had to walk. Every weekend they spent it with each other in a house that their family used to live in before they all passed away. The only family they had living now was each other & Butter's Dad. They both personally knew the man who owned the store in between their houses & he is the one who kept the house's utility bills paid since he knew what they had been through. They didn't know that though.
"Starting your weekend off quiet early?" Said Mr.J, the store owner, as he seen Butter sitting in her normal spot on top of the ice machine when he stepped outside for a smoke break. "Yes sir. Me & Moma fighting already." Butter always had her country accent & looked down when she talked. Her Moma was her step mom & it was a blue moon when they got along.
Butter seen Bug walk up out of the corner of her eye & she hopped off the machine & walked up to her. *highfive*
"See ya, Mr. J" the girls said simultaneously.
They walked step in step, not saying a word yet as they walked down the dirt road that was directly in front of the store & right in the middle of their houses. They already knew that they each had stories to tell each other about how their week has been but they always waited until the moon started going down & they would sit on their roof & watch the sun go down.
They were completely different. No one understood how they were connected but they understood each other better than anyone.
