It's been 3 days since Aspen left. I feel bad that she left because of me, but not bad enough to want her back here. I know, selfish, right? Well that's who I am. I am a jackass. I'm not afraid to admit it.
~Aspen's POV~
I can't believe I already found my second chance mate. After Blake growled at Mathis, we just looked at each other. After a moment, we walked to each other and we hugged. I can't believe I already got a second chance. Usually werewolves don't ever find their second chance. After we hugged and looked around everyone had left.
We walked and talked. It turns out we're both each other's second chance mates. His mate rejected him to. She also had sex with him and then rejected him. She did it because apparently, she was in love with another man, but that's okay because her loss is my gain. He lost his mate 3 years ago, and I just lost mine. So, we decided to take things slow.
Once we got back to the pack house Mathis came up to us and said, "I assume I don't need to prepare an extra room for you Aspen." I looked at Blake and said, "yeah. I'll just sleep in Blake's room." Blake looked at me and then smiled.
