Once upon a time there lived a young girl named Rose who lived with her father in the middle of the city of London. Rose had long brown hair shaped around a kind, pale skin face which she covered up with make-up just as her other friends did. Unfortunately Rose’s mother had died a few years earlier in a serious car crash, even though this was a tragedy they managed to persevere and were living a happy life. Rose and her father, Drew, were both very happy together; the only problem was that Rose’s father was extremely selfish. In fact, one day he took his daughter to Buckingham palace to see the Queen and said to her,

“My Daughter has an extraordinary gift, she can make magnificent Chanel clothes at extremely fast speeds!” However, this was a lie, Drew believed that if his daughter had a gift as extraordinary as this, the Queen would pay millions. Therefore Drew would be richer, this was in no way to poor Rose’s benefit.

“This gift pleases me” said the Queen. “Guards, take this girl away to our finest room and give her some material to make me a new summer collection.”

And with that word, Rose was dragged away from her father, only to be placed in a 5 star suite with a bundle of material and a sewing machine.

“I expect you to make me 10 Chanel outfits by sunrise tomorrow morning” Demanded the Queen.

Then the Queen and her guards stormed off and locked the door, leaving Rose clueless as to what she was to do next.

“I can’t make clothes; I don’t even know how to use a sewing machine!”

As she said this it echoed down through the castles narrow corridors. Rose got herself in such a state and began to cry. Suddenly a blur of blue and brown flew through the window and landed on the floor. After a few seconds it stood up, it was a man! A very little man. With a blue mullet and a bottle of beer in one hand, who then began to speak to Rose.

“I heard you crying and I came straight away. I am here to help!”

“Thanks so much for coming but… Ermm… Who are you?”

“That is another question indeed young lady!”

“Okay… But will you help me? My father lied to the Queen in order to get more money and now I am to make 10 beautiful Chanel outfits before sunrise!”

“Of course I will help you, but I will need something in return.”

Rose looked around her room looking for something valuable and her phone caught her eye.

“Here, you may have this.”

Rose said giving the man the phone. He took the gift and went away stitching and sewing till all the material was gone and 10 new outfits were hung up on hangers.

That morning the Queen came in to examine the outfits.

“Well done, you have made these outfits well. Now you must make 20 new outfits before the sun rises tomorrow morning.”

And the same thing happened again, a pile of material as dumped in Rose’s room and the little man appeared and said,

“I will help you, but only if you give me your… your laptop!” said the little man.

“That seems fair. But be careful, the internet on that thing is dreadful!” replied Rose

The little man took the laptop and began to stitch and sew till all the material was gone and 20 new outfits sat on the hangers.

In the morning the Queen was very pleased with her 20 new outfits, but still she demanded that Rose made her 30 Chanel outfits by sunrise the next morning. Once again the little man arrived and offered to make the clothes for Rose.

“Yes please, but I’m afraid I have nothing else to give you.”

“Hmm… I’ll make you a deal, how about if I make these clothes for you, you will give me your first car in return.”

Rose agreed to this offer, in her mind she thought that the man and herself would forget this deal by the time she got her first car.

So once again the little man went away stitching and sewing till there was 30 beautiful outfits hung up, the man then jumped out the window and wasn’t seen for a very long time.

The day came when Rose got her first car and was taking it for a test drive; she saw the little man on a nearby bench and went to talk to him, not remembering their deal.

“So is that your first car you promised me?” asked the little man

“Oh no! Please don’t take my car away from me! It’s got a sat nav and everything!”

“All the more reason why you should give it to me! How about this, as I have not told you my name yet, I give you three days for you to guess my name, and if you guess right you may keep your car.” said the little man.

Rose agreed and for the next three days she wrote down all the names she could think of; fancy names, strange names, and common names.

When the third day came the little man came into Rose’s room and Rose started listing all the names on her list, to which after every one, the man said,

“That is not my name.”

Rose got to the end and said,

“Is your name perhaps, Paul?”

The little man was startled, Paul was indeed his name.

“Who told you that? Who told you that?!” shouted Paul

“No one did Paul, it was simply written on your t-shirt.”

As she spoke, Rose pointed to the words “Paul I am, that is my name” on his t-shirt.

“You know, you really should be more careful when you’re getting dressed in the morning Paul.”

Paul began to shout and jump around, so much in fact, that he suddenly dropped down dead, probably from exhaustion and drinking so much.

“Well, that teaches to not drink beer for breakfast, lunch and dinner!”

Rose then lived happily ever after with her new convertible and the little man with the blue mullet was never seen again.

THE END!!!
