Now as human beings we'll all get confused. This could come in different ways:
- Confusion of Bible verses
- Confusion of another Christian
- Confusion of etc.We are confused by some Bible verses because we misunderstand them. For example:
Mark 11:12-14 (NKJV)
12 Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 And seeing a from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it.People are confused by this because they think that Jesus was rebuking a fig tree. This passage is a illustration about a fake Christian. A true Christian will bear fruit, but a fake one will bear nothing. If you have problems understanding passages like this, ask God for wisdom and knowledge.
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Also, try not to take every Bible verse literally. For example:
Matthew 5:38-42
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye nod a tooth for a tooth.' 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.Jesus doesn't literally mean to give your other cheek to be slapped, if you were slapped. It means that you should not take revenge.
Now some of us are confused by some other Christians. They may not act like a Christian and even use foul languages. It could be they are new Christians or they're not Christians at all. However, I'll talk about this in another time.
Memory Verses:
1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God ; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Jeremiah 17:9
"The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it.Have a wonderful day! 💕
