(Arabella's POV)
I walked back up to the main office and walked outside after my mum did. her car was already parked in front of h
the building so I opened the door and hopped inside the passengers seat. my mums heals clicked over to her side until she was in the car.the doctors we were going to was about 30 minutes from my school.
***skipping car ride***
we pulled up to the large building and I inhaled the fresh air, I usually get car sick after about 20 minutes of being in a car.
we walked up to the main entrance and then mum asked the nurse about my appointment information. this was going to be a long rest of the day.We went into a blue elevator and mum punched in the floor number "3". I hate the feeling of being on an elevator so much. "So. How's school going for you, darling?" My mum started. "Well actually it's pretty nice. Me and Avery are going to do some catching up after classes are over. I mean if it's okay with you?" I asked, hoping the answer would be a "yes" with no strings attached. "Of course darling. But, I have an up coming business trip tomorrow. If you'd like; and if Avery's parents allow it, she could stay at the house with you or you could stay at her's." She said. I was surprised she would let me do this actually. Mum's always been more on the strict side. You know, curfew, no parties, no friends over on a school night. She was what the American's call, "Up tight".
"Yeah that sounds lovely. I'll ask her when she co-" *DING* The elevator doors interrupted me mid-conversation. We walked out of the blue coloured elevator and to a door with a small window that had the letter "A" on it. Mum pushed open the door and looked to a blonde lady sitting behind a desk. We walked towards the lady and mum filled out some paper work after telling the young woman about the appointment that was scheduled for me. We sat down in bleakly coloured chairs and waited for our turn. Only about five minutes later did a nurse call out my name. We stood up and walked into the room, 206A.
The nurse asked the basic questions like, "Any heart diseases in the family?" and "Is she allergic to anything?" I wasn't really listening since mum was the one answering the questions. All though, one answer sort of stood out to me. The nurse asked if anyone in the family had cancer. Mum answered yes. I hadn't a clue about that...
