Chapter 35: Betrayal

"Wait, Riley?" Mark said in surprise.
"why are you crying?" I asked.
"how's Dan?" he said with attitude avoiding the question.
"Mark, I'm not dating him, that was me on the phone." I said turning to him.
"Really. I was the jerk. You were in the tree. You didn't mean to hurt me and I was a bitch about it." he mumbled quickly.
"sounds accurate." I rolled my eyes in anger. He turned back to his phone. I glanced over at what he was looking at. He was scrolling though all the pictures he has taken of us.
That's what he was crying about. He missed me. Was he jealous?
I just stood up and started walking over to the guys.
"Righ, wait." Mark said standing up as I turned around.
"What." I snapped.
"I missed you." he said crying.
"I thought you were gone forever." he started to cry harder.
"Why? there's nothing to miss." I said getting glossy eyed.
"I don't know." he said bowing his head in shame. I took a step forward towards him. He looked up.
"please forgive me." he sobbed quietly. Than anger took over. I let out a slightly evil laugh.
"you think I would forgive you, after you first off abandoned me and second off caused memory's of the most painful day of my life?" I spat.
"Well-" I cut him off.
"Before you say anything the answer is NO!" I yelled pushing him with all my force and him stumbling back a few steps. Than before I knew I heard Ken yell 'Hey!" before I felt a stinging sharp pain on my left cheek. It took me a few seconds to realize Mark slapped me. I stood there eyes shut tightly, clenching my fists from pain and not moving a muscle.
"MARK! YOU DON'T HIT GIRLS!" I heard Wade yell in anger. I soon felt the sting of my tears were he slapped me. I fell to the ground not ever wanting to see another day.
"RILEY!" I heard Jack yell. I felt someone pick me off the ground and hold me bridal style. I slowly opened my eyes to see Jack in sitting on the ground holding me in complete shock. Than I basically threw a tantrum. Yelling and screaming curses and prayers. Not really knowing what I was doing.
"Ryelles, please calm down." Jack whispered into my ear.
"I'm sorry" I sniffed. Than Jack kissed me, on the lips. I could tell it was in a friendly way to make me calm the fuck down, but I felt like for a split second it was something more. that gave me mixed emotions.
"WHY THE FUCK!" I hear Ken yell.
"Ya Mark, that was messed up." I heard Felix follow up.
"I'm sorry Righ, I don't know what the fuck has gotten into him lately." Jack smiled at me. I sat up us both sitting on the grass.
"I honestly thought he was different. And To be honest I think I was falling for him. But I hit the ground pretty quickly." I laughed even know I meant every word with true pain.
"don't worry, feeling come and go. And if they stay, you can always talk to me about it." he said sincerely.
"Thanks, I think I might head out now. Bye." I kissed his forehead and quickly grabbed my stuff and headed inside without anyone noticing. I walked up to Zak.
"Time to go bud." I whispered. With no arguing at all he got up and sooner than I realized we were out the door and walking down the street.
"I love you." he whispered grabbing my hand.
"I love you too." I looked down at him smiling as he looked up at me.

I tucked Zak in and started walking out.
"Wait, tell me a bedtime story, please." he gave me a sweet, tiered smile.
"Okay, I have a good one." I grinned.

Story:
So once there was a little girl who dreamed of everything perfect. She has a Mum and A Dad and three older brothers. She dreamed of being a Zoo Keeper and taking care of all the different kinds if animals. But she knew that real life wasn't very, super duper, amazing like all the people said it was. Like when her older brother hit her and pushed her and when Mum and Dad went away on long business trips far away from home. One day the little girl and her Mum and Dad went to the park on the way back she found out she was part fairy. She was happy to one day fly like her Dad. But that night her Mum and dad went out for dinner and Only one of them came back late, late at night. Mum hugged the little girl and tried to make her happy again but it would never ever work. Her heart was shattered into three pieces. Mum found one piece but the two pieces that were left needed to be found. A couple years later she got a new little brother and loved him so very much. As he grew he found the second piece to the little girls heart. The little girl wasn't so little now as she was a teen. She was doing well in School and found a love for math. She decided on engineering. Everything she did felt half hearted and she was never fully happy doing anything. She soon dropped out of engineering. Later one of her older brothers took her younger brother and moved out with him. The heart piece pulled away with him. Than her old best friend left her for her boyfriend. That made the one piece left smaller. Than her and her mum got into a fight and the mum said she didn't love her. Than all the pieces were missing again. But one day she decided she was gonna start over and move to the place she always wanted to go. She left her mom and flew out and met an old friend, she had a spark of happiness. Than the friend had leave, and she was left sad once again. She was alone, all this time you give parts of your heart to people and sometimes the pieces get ripped from you. All for love and happiness. But one as she was falling asleep she was awaken by someone from next door. She checked who it was. She embarrassed herself but the next morning fell deeply in love with this man. But in the few short days she knew him, be put pieces back and pulled them out like she was some kind of toy. But she still loved him and she didn't know why. She found out that love was scary, and that it was nothing like the fairytails. And that you have to be careful who puts the pieces back into your heart and takes them out. Or the sadness will win over the happiness. And that's not how she wanted her heart to be.

"That's my favourite so far." he said than drifted off to sleep.
"I'm glad cause it my favourite too." I whispered and than fell asleep next to him.
