A few days after that glorious kill I finally get the meat into salt storages. That was a great kill with soft fur. My love is grateful to the gods that I got that kill. Arki the god of luck was always my favorite. Mika the god of war and the hunt was quite helpful as well. In all the gods are wondrous beings.
My wife started knitting a blanket for the warmth of our family. She makes the greatest blankets in this entire plain! Well maybe not. The tailor in the kingdom is quite a good tailor. I used to sell furs to him. High pay luckily. Hard times these days with the taxes. The king seems to have no remorse to the hard workers and farmers as well as the fur traders. Some times King Isaac just worries about himself and not the well being of his subjects.
Taxes are getting so high I may have to sell my livestock. My cattle and chickens, during the winter just not as productive as they need to be. The livestock tax is outrageous these days as well. I feel sorry for the mills though they get all their profit taken and half of their lumber. Outrageous! This tyrant can't get away with this! I need to get out of this country I if want to live a prison free life.
My poor brother couldn't pay the outrageous taxes and had to turn to thievery. Life of crime for the poor brother of mine. I should have helped him out. Damn you tyrant damn the whole court to gorgah! Those evil men. 'Worse than The Necromancers of east Grove'.
The king won't even stop those fiends. I heard rumors of a deal with them. If it is true the king has an undead army. We are all doomed. I'm sure the laws will get tougher if they are released. The life for my son will be a hard one. It makes me want to sob a river.
