Ember quickly looked behind her. An old man was standing there, scars all about his face, as if a cat used it as a scratching post. He opened his mouth to talk, but then closed trying to somehow refit his words. "Ah, I see you've found Jumbunks. . . my my my" The old mans voice drifted off. Ember finally got the courage to speak. "W-who a-a-are you?" She said in a raspy kind of way. The old man looked down at his feet then back up. "Oh I see I see. . ." He started drifting again but then came back in a enthusiastic voice. "Aye! I'm Lupin, Shawn Lupin that is!" He stared at her. "And who are you, young one?" Ember stuttered a bit, but pulled it all together. "I'm E-ember" "And who's this on the floor ma'am?" Lupin asked."That's Josh, my f-friend." Ember responded, still shaking. They stood there for a while just staring at each other. Ember broke the silence. "W-where am I sir?" "Jumbunks! As I said earlier, this is this is the land of green." Answered the man enthusiastically. Ember looked over Lupin's shoulder, she jumped back. "Oh oh! Don't be scared ma'am. That't only Shadow, my lion." The lion got down on the floor, snuggled against the mans leg, and fell asleep. "He l-likes sleeping, eh?" Ember asked, eyes still on the lion. "Pretty much of a sport to him, I must say." Lupin answered. "E-ember you're alive, eh? W-who's this?" Ember swung around to find Josh standing in front of her. "Josh! Oh my oh my I thought you were a goner!" Ember said over dramatically. "You must be Josh. eh? Heard much about you, sir." Lupin said, holding out his hand. "Heard much? Yeah for the five minutes I've been here. . ." Ember murmured under her breath. "Oh, Josh this is Lupin, Shawn Lupin that is." "Good to meet you young'un" Lupin half shouted. "So I see you've made a friend Ember? Why don't you tell me where the hell I am, eh?" Ember giggled. They then went into a very detailed story, Lupin telling much of what Ember had no idea what it meant.
