Eyes that once shone like the sun, now shrouded by darkness.
Lips once always smiling, forever pulled into a frown.
Hands that once touched delegate flower are soaked with blood.
Her eyes used to see everything good and happy, but as time went she saw the ugly colors of the truth.
She now sees that the people she thought loved her hold nothing but a useless hatred towards her.
She wonders what happened that made her so hated.
Was it because she wasn't pretty enough, good enough, or was ill behaved?
No, it's because in the eyes of those she thought cared for her she's not perfect enough.
She tried, but ever time she was so close they raised their standards of perfect for her and she fell back in to the darkness that had been caused by them.
Her heart forever scarred because of how much she's been hurt.
Her face stained with tears as she just wants it all to end.
The pain, all the pain that she feels she just wants it gone.
The pain of all the cruel words said to her, pain of being hated by those she thought cared, the pain of feeling as if she never really belong in her family, in the society, in her life.
She's stopped seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and started seeing the gruesome reality around her.
Darkening all her thoughts hopes and dreams.
She wants nothing more than to just let the darkness consume her.
Yet she still fights, everyday.
Hoping, praying that tomorrow will be better than today.
So she fights, to keep the darkness out as much as possible, to keep heading towards the warm glowing light she so desperately wants to reach.
But the darkness doesn't want to let her go.
It gave birth to her very essence and soul, it was not giving up its child so easily.
Darkness prevents her from feeling the warmth of the light.
It does what it can to keep her and never let her go.
She eventually gives up, not forever just for now.
Her eyes droop closed as she falls it to dreams of gouls, demons, and everything bad in the world.
