"I think you need to go tonight," Wes said. He was being so stubborn. Once again, he was trying to convince me to go to a party.

"There's no point in me going. Parties are just a waste of time," I stated trying to sound clearly annoyed even though I really didn't give a shit.  This was just one of the thousands of parties Wes had wanted me to go to.

"How are parties a waste of time?" Wes sounded extremely surprised even though he knows my view on parties.

"Well, instead of getting wasted and having a major hangover, I could be studying for the geography test that we have on Monday," I thought that I made a compelling argument and I was pretty proud of myself.

"We have a geography test Monday?" he asked.

"Yeah, and you would know that if you ever decided to show up to class."  The word that passed through my mind the most whenever I talked to Wes had to be idiot.

"I have you to report the things I should know about our classes.  Thanks for the test warning. I'll make sure to play sick on Monday, but that's besides the point. You have to go to this party,"  he stated like he was actually somewhat intelligent.

"No," I answered simply.

"What about the girls, dude?" He said wiggling his eyebrows at me.

"Creeper," I said.

"I would be offended if you thought I wasn't, but still Cam, girls," said Wes creepily. So many issues.

"What about the girls, Wes?" I asked trying to mimic his enthusiasm.

"Girls you can hook up with," He wiggled his eyebrows again.

"You know I hate that stuff," I said grumpily.  High schoolers are gross these days.  It's never about homework or a class or their future, it's about making out and having sex.

"You don't like girls? Cameron, did I miss you coming out of the closet. If I did bro, I totally support you, but I don't think I'm comfortable letting you stay at my house anymore," rambled Wes.  Of cours he didn't understand what I said.  That would be expecting too much from him.

"Dude, calm down.  I meant I don't believe in stupid high school hook ups" This kid was too stupid to be my best friend sometimes.

"Thank. The Lord. Above," He said taking big breaths in between each word.

"Did you really think I was gay?" I asked.

"Maybe..." He said.

"Dumb ass," I mumbled.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing, dude. The bell's gonna ring soon we should probably get going," I said, wishing I could take back my dumb ass comment.

"I'll go to class if you go to the party," he bribed.

"You skip class almost every day. It's not gonna change my mind if you actually ago," I stated in a duh tone.

"Fine, let me rephrase my offer. Go to the party, or all chain you to the water fountain outside the girls' restroom.  No only willy you look like a total perv, but you'll miss class. Isn't that your absolute worst fear Cameron" he said pulling out handcuffs acting menacing.

"Where did you get those?" I asked in tone only a parent should use.

"I may or may have not swiped them from my dad before he left this morning," he replied.

"You swiped handcuffs from your dad, also known as the sheriff! Are you nuts?" I asked him.  I didn't know he was capable of being this idiotic.

"As a matter of fact I did," he said all smug and proud.

"You wouldn't actually chain me up though. You're too big of a woos," I challenged, immediately regretting it. After all, Wes was taller and more muscular than me, and he was on the wrestling team, not to mention his udder stupidity and uncanny ability to be stubborn.

"You wanna bet?" he said grabbing my wrist and putting the first cuff on.  Oh shit.

"Fine! Fine! I'll go to the dumb party. Just take the stupid cuff off," I said reluctantly.  Damn, this kid just had to get his way.

"Finally, you're doing something worthwhile with your life. Ya know, studying and being a "good kid" isn't the most important thing in life," he said while rummaging through his pocket for the key.

"Hurry up, the bell's gonna ring," I ignored his comment about me being a good kid.  There was nothing wrong with being a "good kid."

"Um, we might have a slight problem, Cam," Wes said, chuckling nerously

"You forgot the key, didn't you?"

"Would you mind keeping those on for the rest of the day? You would my bestest friend in the world?" he said with the most fake smile ever.  You have to be freaking kidding me.

"I'll keep them on, but as soon as they're off, I'm going to strangle you," I said angrily. And with that, he took off down the hall just as the bell rang. This was going to be fun to explain to Mr. Finstock. Not only was i going to be late for the first time in my high school career, I was going to have to explain why my hands were half way cuffed.  I grabbed my books out of my locker and headed to English.  This is going to be a very eventful day.
