It was the same routine for every teenager. Get up, get dressed, eat and do the usual stuff to get ready. But mine is completely different. Get up, get dressed, cover up any abuse, avoid parents by jumping out the window. My typical morning.
Although this morning felt different, like I felt different. But I still carried on with my morning routine. School was the usual. When the final bell went everyone rushed out of class while I took my time. I took small steps home trying to avoid any contact with my parents. When I did finally get home all hell broke loose.
" where have you been?!" My father exclaimed
"School" I replied
" School my ass you skipped school didn't you?" He yelled
"What? No I didn't I have work from today in my bag" I said.
"Stop talking back and admit the truth"
" I'm not talking back! I was at school all day"
"Get out" he said
"What?" I asked
" get out of my house you ungrateful girl" he exclaimed
I ran out side and slammed the door behind me. I ran down the street to the nearest park where I pulled out my phone and called my best friend, Sarah. With tears in my eyes.
"Hello?" Sarah said.
" hello Sarah" I asked.
" yes? Is that you sky" she asked.
"Yes. My parents kicked me out of the house. Do you think I could stay at your place for the night?" I asked " just one night"
"Sure come over " she replied.
