Friday night Sarah finally met her teammates. The General had called them forth so that he could explain their purpose for the Organization. As she stood in front of him, she wondered just who these people were and how they would react to her abilities. She had built a reputation as Spitfire of being a bit of a loose cannon when put with others but a wonderful asset when alone.
Sarah didn't move as she heard movement behind her signaling the arrival of one of her future companions. Then her officer arrived with the last two. General smiled coldly at them as they stood before him, Trent taking his place to his right.
"I welcomed you into my home and protected you after you were rejected because of who you were. I was the parent that replaced those that abandoned you at such a young age. Now my dear children," he said with a wave of his hand "meet your companions in life. Because until I change my mind, you will be together on every mission, endure every trial together and protect each other from harm."
Sarah finally turned her head towards the others. They all looked back at her through their masks, cold calculating eyes studying her every movement.
"I warn you Spitfire, they have already worked together several times, so you are the oddball out. Pilvi, Mitya and Ereus will guide you, so heed their advice." He gestured towards each of them in turn. "Together you form the Silent Demons. Now wreak havoc on those who oppose us, you are now the protectors of the Organization faction of Ravendale."
With a wave of his hand they were dismissed. Trent guided them out into a small room silently before turning to them.
"I hope you figure out how to get along correctly because you will now have the same quarters here. You must maintain appearances in public but I expect you to come for training each evening."
With this said he nodded to them and left the room. Sarah frowned softly behind her mask. She slowly turned around and found her three companions gazing back at her.
"What is it?" she muttered, golden eyes glaring.
"Nothing, you just seem so meek. We were expecting a bit more spunk from the renowned Spitfire." The soft melodious voice came from the shortest of the trio, Pilvi.
"It would appear that Trent was just pulling our leg then." The tallest, Mitya, said with a slight sneer in his voice, for it was surely too deep a voice for a female.
Sarah growled softly, her fists curling up, just itching to alight in flames. Not only were they underestimating her but it was almost as if they were belittling her. Her teeth clenched and just as the first wisps of fire appeared around her fists she felt the cool sensation of a knife on her neck.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A cool voice said behind her. Ereus pressed the blade a little bit more against her skin. "Did you think we don't know about your powers? 'Spitfire', what an appropriate name for a girl who controls the element of flames. But don't think you can intimidate us, the General handpicked us for a reason and you will find out that we can easily hold our own against you in combat. So don't even think of attacking us."
Sarah tried to avoid showing emotions as her eyes widened. That was the fastest she had seen any Organization member move. In all the years that she had trained under the Organization only the General and Trent could rival her in speed. Maybe this kid, because there was no way that he was older than her, was right. Maybe she had met her match.
As he walked back towards the others the knife disappeared into the folds of his dark cloak, the blade glinting in the light. Ayane observed them for the first time as she caught her breath. Pilvi seemed to be the only female of the trio, slight built, she was shrouded in a light cape, small silver threads entwined into it. Mitya, without a doubt a giant compared to Pilvi, was well built and quite imposing. His dark shirt was covered with a dark green poncho that matched the scarf covering his head.
