Many months rolled on without a trace of Ralph as Vincent and Aria grew accustomed to living with Killian. Aria would continuously ask if there was any way to make it up to Killian for basically save her and Vincent's lives, but he would always shake his head and smile, replying that she would never have to owe him anything. Aria cooked and cleaned for Killian, and when the weather was beautiful outside, they'd both go out with Vincent and play in their backyard.

On a nice, spring evening, Aria was out at a park with Vincent while Killian was off at work. She was having a carefree and glorious day with Vincent. She sat down on a park bench with a book and read while she watched her son play on the park's playground.

The sun started to set as the sky turned dark. "Vincent," Aria hollered with a smile, "it's time to leave!"

Vincent ran up to his mom and clasped onto her leg with a giggle, "Okay mom."

Walking back home, her cell phone rang. She had gotten a new phone thanks to Killian, since her old one had a tracking chip in it.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Aria", Killian said breathlessly, "Ralph is here."

"What?" Aria questioned, her eyes widening in sheer terror.

"He's just sitting out on the front porch drinking a bottle of beer."

"Where are you?" Aria asked frantically, her eyes widening in sheer horror.

"I parked up the street and am sitting in my car, afraid to even drive by. I don't know what to do." A pause. "I'm going to call the cops."

"Won't the cops know Ralph though?"

Another pause. "I'm not sure, Aria. There's only one way to find out."

Aria rushed home as fast as she could and found three police cars parked outside Killian's house. A troubled looking Killian was talking to a cop who seemed displeased and frustrated. "The most I'll do for you is put a restraining order on him," the cop clicked his tongue at Killian, arms crossed and eyes narrowed.

"Are you serious?" Killian furrowed his eyebrows, his fists tightening in rage. "He's been stalking us, attacking his ex-fiance and her child, threatening to kill her family and friends, abusing his power as chief of police, and you're letting him get away with only a simple restraining order?"

"Yes, and I'll gladly remove that order if you continue disrespecting me," the cop snapped. "Ralph is a very friendly chief who would never do anything harmful, and all us cops believe you're lying." He pointed a stern finger at Killian. "You're lucky I'm even giving you this restraining order. Be happy."

Aria sprinted up the steps of the porch, Vincent following slowly behind. "This is absurd!" she exclaimed, her fingers digging into her hair in exasperation.

The cop merely shrugged and began walking away, waving them off. "Not my problem."

Killian grabbed the police officer by the shoulder and spun him around, his eyes narrowed with rage. "You better send him to the damn jail and get him fired," he retorted.

The cop turned his head and looked at the other cops rounded up by their police cars. They all nodded towards the cop. The cop sneered and turned his head to face Killian once more. "Because of this vicious behavior towards a police officer, we're removing the restraining order on Ralph. Next time you lay a hand on me, you'll be the one in jail." He laughed sinisterly. "You have a nice night now."

"That isn't fair!" Aria cried out as Killian watched the cop go, blood pulsing through his veins in pure rage.

"Life isn't fair," the cop retorted before he slammed his car door and sped away with the others.
