A/N: This is already one of my fics but I tossed it in there because it's related to winter.

When I woke up this morning, I was immediately eager to go check outside. Why, you may ask? Well, last night we were expected to get 5-6'' of snow. For some reason, I always enjoyed the snow.

As much as I hated being exposed to the bone-chilling substance, something about the cold and moist air made the weather almost always bearable; being indoors, of course. When I was outdoors, it was a... 'not-so-calm' atmosphere. A bunch of friends and me would always have the most intense snowball wars imagined. Well, we did. When we were younger and more naive, we could imagine about anything.

Now, we're grown up. Of course, we would always be kids at heart, but it takes a lot of skill to think like a kid. Innocence truly was bliss. Upon getting excited at the idea of being able to reunite the guys like old times, I ran over to the window and pressed my face to the cold glass.

A large grin spread across my face as blank, white sheets stared me back in the face. I wanted to call everyone; hoping they would be awake at an "early" hour. Early, for Mitch, was any time before noon, it being 9:47 AM right now. I wasn't so sure about the others, anymore. I hadn't been in touch with them for awhile.

I walked downstairs and into my kitchen to find my cell phone, hoping Mitch would get his lazy ass up. I quickly unplugged it from it's charger and I rapidly dialed his number, memorized from heart. Now I anticipated to hear his voice pick up. I heard the ringing a couple times, but no answer. However, that did not stop me from trying to get him up from a few obnoxious phone calls.

A third time I dialed his number, and I whispered to myself, "Third time's the charm..."

   Finally, Mitch picked up.

"Why are you blowing my phone up at such ungodly hours, Jerome?! Jesus!" He said in a half-asleep, half-angry tone. I couldn' t help but laugh at how messed up his sleeping was.

"Sorry, Mitch!" I said apologetically. I wasn't even sorry, though. I needed my best friend to wake up and enjoy the weather with me!

His voice became more relaxed as he laughed and said, "It's okay, but why are you calling me? What is more important than sleeping in?"

"Well," I began, "have you taken a look outside your windows?" I asked him. I heard him run down his stairs and open a door. I knew he had known that it was supposed to snow, so he wasn't too surprised when he peered his head out his backdoor and felt raw snowflakes hit him in the face.

"Yes, Jerome, snow. Don't you think I've... I don't know... seen this sort of thing already? Living in Canada a majority of my life, and all." he said sarcastically.

"Shut up!" I laughed. "Hey, want to have a snow war with the guys? Just for nostalgia's sake! Can you call them up?"

"Well, um..." He started, "I don't really have their phone numbers." I heard him close his backdoor and walk onto some tiles in his kitchen.

"Oh." I said quietly and disappointed. There was a long pause before Mitch spoke up.

"Hey, buddy. I'm sorry I don't have their numbers, but maybe you and me can hang out today? Just the two of us!" He suggested.

Hang out with Mitch? Well, I guess we could catch up on each other's lives. Ever since I moved a few miles away from him, we never had time to see each other in person. We were both too busy with recording.
