It was a sunny day in Ireland (for
once). Alice was lounging on the grass in the park. She felt the cool summer breeze on her face. Next to her was her best friend in the whole entire world Sarah. They have been best friends since they were 5. They meat in
primary school when Alice told the teacher that her hair looked like a monsters. Sarah laughed so hard she peeped in her pants and they both had to stand at the prefab. They have been friends ever since. But now on Saturday Sarah's moving away to Scotland because of her dad's new job. Sarah's mum died when she was eight. It's now just her dad they are really close. Her dad thinks it's a fresh start. I'm happy that Sarah's dad wants fresh start but why does it have to be in Scotland. I turn to Sarah who is sitting next to me. She's thinking about the same thing as me. I know what Sarah's thinking most of the time I also know when she is lying. Promise you will keep in touch Sarah asks. Of course I will I say in a reassuring way even though I am not so sure myself. Do you know what we should do I say to Sarah. She cocks her head what she asked. We should write letters to each other lI say. Sarah looks at me strangely. Al we are not in the dark ages anymore where iPhones don't exist she says in a manner of fact way. I know that I say but it will be our special thing plus nobody can hack into letters. Ok fine Sarah says. We will write every week and tell each other about our week so we are always in each other's life's. That sounds awesome I say let's take an oath to you Sarah Elizabeth Andrews do you swear on your life that you will write 1 or more letters to your best friend in the whole entire planet Alice I say. I do Sarah says. And do you Alice Jane Smith do swear to write 1 or more letters to your best friend Sarah Andrews. I do I answer back. We lie back on the grass laughing for no apparent reason. I wish I didn't have to move Sarah's says. Me too Sar me too I say
